Speaking on his podcast, the Joe Rogan Experience, about the nonsense that he saw as having unfolded at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago, hugely popular podcast host and comedian Joe Rogan roasted Oprah and Michelle Obama for their utter hypocrisy in lecturing watchers on the importance of income inequality while they are worth vast amounts of money.
Speaking on the matter, Rogan pointed to Oprah’s speech in which she rambled about “democracy” and “income inequality,” noting that though she claims to find the topic quite important, in reality, she is a billionaire with vast amounts of wealth at her disposal. He mocked her for her hypocrisy in pushing that matter as a political topic while ignoring her own wealth.
Making that point about Oprah and her, to him obvious, hypocrisy on the matter, Rogan said, “How about Oprah? Oprah was talking about her and Trump running together, and now she’s speaking to the DNC that he’s a threat to democracy and she’s up there talking about income inequality, like, ‘Hey lady — you’re rich as f***!’ I’m like, ‘How is that equal?’”
Continuing, Rogan added that he sees it as “nuts” that, in the past, a wide array of celebrities were close with now-former President Donald Trump, and it is only in the wake of his decision to more openly become a Republican rather than the celebrity-usual Democrat and run on a platform plank that Republicans supported that they started to hate him.
Returning to the subject of wealthy women rambling about “income inequality” and like subjects at the Democratic National Convention, Rogan pointed to former First Lady Michelle Obama’s speech about how her relatives were suspicious of people who took more than they needed, saying that she grew obscenely wealthy as a civil servant, which is insane.
Making that point about Michelle Obama’s ridiculous speech, Rogan said, “Also when Michelle Obama was saying, you know, I think she was saying her mother or grandmother was always suspicious of people who took more than they needed, like, you are worth so much money. That’s so crazy. You did it on a civil servant’s salary, which is insane.”

Oprah, during her speech, for context, said that while she has traveled through the states of the United States in the past, she has not only “seen racism and sexism and income inequality and division,” but even has, at some points, “been on the receiving end of it.” Oprah is worth more than a billion dollars, making the income inequality line ring hollow.
In any case, Oprah then said, “More often than not, what I’ve witnessed and experienced are human beings, both conservative and liberal, who may not agree with each other, but who would still help you in a heartbeat if you were in trouble. These are the people who make me proud to say that I am an American.”
Michelle said it was her mother “who showed me the meaning of hard work and humility and decency” and “who set my moral compass high and showed me the power of my own voice.” She added, “She and my father didn’t aspire to be wealthy. In fact, they were suspicious of folks who took more than they needed. They understood that it wasn’t enough for their kids to thrive if everyone else around us was drowning. So my mother volunteered at the local school.”
