MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell has been unbanned from Twitter following Elon Musk’s recent decision to lift bans on many suspended accounts.
Elon Musk posted a poll in November asking users to vote whether amnesty should be offered to some suspended accounts. “Should Twitter offer a general amnesty to suspended accounts, provided that they have not broken the law or engaged in egregious spam?” Elon asked.

After 3.2 million votes were cast, the overwhelming consensus of 72.4% suggested the amnesty should be given. Elon responded to the results of the poll, “The people have spoken. Amnesty begins next week. Vox Populi, Vox Dei.”
One of these newly reinstated accounts was Mike Lindell, among other high-profile conservative figures. Other accounts that have been unbanned since Musk’s takeover of Twitter include former President Donald Trump, The Babylon Bee, James O’Keefe of Project Veritas, Roger Stone, and many more.
The DC Enquirer reported on Lindell’s reinstatement:
“One of those suspended accounts was Mike Lindell, who was banned from the platform in January 2021. The MyPillow CEO was brought back to the platform again in May 2022, however, he was quickly permanently suspended after violating Twitter’s policies.”
“The suspension of his personal account, however, didn’t stop Lindell from using the corporate MyPillow account as a way to reach his followers.”
According to Newsmax, the MyPillow CEO was initially given a permanent suspension in January 2021, but was allowed back on the platform in May of this year. However, he was suspended again for further violations.
Newsmax stated:
Twitter permanently suspended Lindell in January 2021 but allowed him to return in May 2022. He was quickly suspended again for repeated violations of the social media giant’s civic integrity policies. At that time, the suspension was announced that it was permanent.
Even after the January 2021 suspension, Lindell kept posting from the MyPillow account, including calling for then-CEO Jack Dorsey to be imprisoned. That account was also banned for violating Twitter’s policies on ban evasion.
Upon his reinstatement, Lindell took to his account and tweeted: “I’m back!! Thank you @elonmusk and by the way MELT DOWN THE ELECTRONIC VOTING MACHINES AND TURN THEM INTO PRISON BARS!”

However, Mike Lindell is facing significant legal battles as a result of his political activism. Voting Dominion Systems has sued Lindell, seeking $1.3 billion in legal damages following his comments after the 2020 election.
Newsmax reported:
“So far no court, state or other legal jurisdiction has found that the voting software used during the 2020 election was manipulated or fraudulently engaged.”
“The Supreme Court in October rejected Lindell’s attempts to dismiss the lawsuit, and last fall, a lower-court ruling found his claims on the 2020 election and former President Donald Trump’s loss to President Joe Biden to be “inherently improbable” and said he “failed to acknowledge the validity of countervailing evidence.”
Nonetheless, Mike Lindell has built a significant brand revolving around his avid support for Donald Trump. Utilizing this popularity with MAGA Republicans, Lindell has suggested he will run for the chairmanship of the Republican National Committee (RNC), attempting to unseat current RNC Chair Ronna McDaniel.
