Speaking during a segment on Wednesday, August 21, SiriusXM podcaster and well-known conservative personality and commentator Megyn Kelly absolutely obliterated far-left Congresswoman and “Squad” member Rep. Alexandria Ocasio Cortez over what the far-left member of Congress said during the Democratic National Convention in Chicago.
Kelly, speaking about AOC’s speech on her podcast, “The Megyn Kelly Show,” said that the speech was far less effective and good than people online claimed. She said, “When I saw people on the internet praising her last night, even some Republicans, like, ‘Oh, that was a great speech,’ I thought, have you never actually seen an effective female public speaker? Like, they mistake energy or like enthusiasm for effectiveness.”
Continuing, Kelly noted that there is a large difference between giving an effective speech and just yelling at the audience. Beginning, she said, “I mean, anyone can get up there and shout at you!” She continued, using shouting to prove her point, “She can shout at you! It doesn’t make you a good public speaker. It was like an assault. Right? Don’t you feel assaulted by what I just did? That’s how I felt listening to her.”
Kelly next played a clip of then-Sen. Barack Obama speaking at the DNC in 2004. Commenting on it and contrasting it with AOC’s shouting, Kelly said, “That’s what AOC was going for. That’s what they all go for. They fail. There’s only one Barack Obama. There will never be another Barack Obama. I’m sorry, find your own style. You’re not good at imitation.”
Further mocking AOC, Kelly said, “She was a cross between Hilaria [Baldwin], who went to a fancy boarding school in either Boston or Rhode Island and isn’t Spanish at all, and also this guy.” Kelly then played a clip of Italian dictator Benito Mussolini speaking. When it finished, she commented on it and AOC, saying, “You may remember him from World War II as the leader of Italy.”
Watch AOC start yelling during her speech at the DNC on Monday night here:
AOC, bizarrely attacked Trump during her speech by claiming he is greedy and looking to sell out the country to help his supposed friends on Wall Street make a buck, an attack that would have been far more appropriate to make against pro-offshoring, stock-trading politicians, not Trump, AOC said, “We know Trump would sell this country for a dollar if it meant lining his own pockets and greasing palms of his Wall Street friends.”
She also claimed that Trump is a union attacker despite much of his policy centering on restoring American industry. She said, “I, for one, am tired of hearing about how a two-bit union buster thinks of himself as more of a patriot than the woman who fights every single day to lift working people out from under the boots of greed trampling on our way of life.”
That came after AOC implied that Trump is a politician who doesn’t know what it is like to have to work for a living despite his having spent nearly all of his life in the private sector, whereas the Democratic nominee, Harris, spent her whole life collecting a government paycheck. She said, “There is nothing wrong with working for a living. Imagine having leaders who understand that.”
