WATCH: Trump Campaign Attacks Harris’ Economic Record, Outlines Plan to Fix It

Former President Donald Trump’s campaign has recently pivoted its strategy to exposing Vice President Kamala Harris’ disastrous record and its implications for her leading the country.  Since President Biden dropped out of the race and Harris stepped up to lead the Democratic ticket, Trump has focused on attacking her radical policies and widespread failures.

Throughout the Biden-Harris administration, American families have been plagued with historically high levels of inflation.  The current administration has received intense criticism over moves that have exacerbated these price increases, such as expansionary fiscal policies and a hostile stance toward fossil fuels.

Trump recently criticized Harris’ new stance on fixing inflation.  “Now Kamala is reportedly proposing communist price controls, she wants price controls,” the former president said. “And if they worked, I’d go along with it, too, but they don’t work. They exactly have the exact opposite impact and effect and it leads to food shortages, rationing, hunger, dramatically more inflation.”

The Republican presidential candidate further criticized the seemingly communist economic policies, comparing her to Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro “She’s running on the Maduro plan. we call it the Maduro plan, like something straight out of Venezuela or the Soviet Union. This announcement is an admission that her economic policies have totally failed, and caused really a catastrophe for our country and beyond that, a catastrophe in the world,” he added.

Trump also blasted Harris for promising to fix the country if she was elected president when she has been in the White House for several years.  “So she is saying, when she gets in, she’s in now, and especially with Biden, because, I mean, he’s not in the best of shape, but you know what? She’s in there now. She could do anything she wants, and she’s still saying, If you elect me, I’ll do this. I’ll do why didn’t she do it?”

The former president outlined the actions he will take on “day one” once reelected.  “On day one, we’re going to drill baby drill, and we’re going to close the border, and we’ll let people come in, but they’re going to come in legally. They’re going to come into our country legally. But on day one, we’re going to do many things. You’re not going to do a lot of things at one time, but the question is, often is, what’s the first thing you’re going to do, I would say we have a tie. We’re going to close the border. We’re not going to let we’re going to stop the millions of people coming in, and we’re going to take all of the criminals that have come in, and we know every one of them.”

He continued, “But basically, we’re going to drill big drill. We’re going to get the energy price on almost immediately, and we’re going to close the border, and we’re going to get the crooked ones out, the bad ones out, and we’re going to let a lot of people come in, because we need more people, especially with AI coming and all of the different things, and the farmers need, everybody needs, but we’re going to make sure that they’re not murderers, killers, drug dealers, and the kind of people that we have largely coming in right now.”
