WATCH: Joe Rogan Claims People Think CNN Is “Full of S***” After Late-Night TV Incident

Podcasting legend Joe Rogan recently claimed that the general public thinks left-leaning news network CNN is “full of s***” after a recent incident on “The Late Show” hosted by Stephen Colbert.  During an interview with CNN host Kaitlin Collins, Colbert commented that the network was known for its objective reporting, which drew a roaring laughter from the live audience.  However, the line was not intended to be a joke.

Joe Rogan addressed the clip from Colbert’s show during his recent podcast episode.  “Start it from the beginning and go big screen because this is so preposterous,” he requested of his producer.  Over the past few years, Rogan has had a contentious relationship with major media outlets, such as CNN over their coverage on his opinions surrounding the pandemic.

Rogan further illustrated how CNN’s reputation has deteriorated.  “How crazy is that? The audience is like shut the f— up. That is hilarious. They thought he was being a joker. They thought that was a joke. That’s how crazy this world has gotten, where f***ing CNN being unbiased is a joke to people in the audience. That’s so crazy,” he added.

The host of “The Joe Rogan Experience” continued, “If you were running a business, what did you accomplish by doing things that way? You’ve ruined your business because now, people think you’re full of sh– and you could’ve just been actual, just straightforward journalists and been beyond reproach and probably gotten away with…”. Rogan then said, “But you wouldn’t have got as much money. You gotta get those ads in.”

The American Tribune recently reported on the incident in question, where the conversation began around former President Donald Trump’s campaign and how it apparently is struggling to find ways to attack Vice President Kamala Harris’ presidential bid.

“Trump has kind of been thrown on his heels by this, and he’s not really sure how to go after Vice President Harris. He knew his attack lines on President Biden. He really has struggled with how to how to go after someone who’s 20 years younger than him, who is a different gender, a different race. It’s kind of been this moment where he has not been able to coalesce around a single attack line,” Collins said.

Colbert chimed in, “I know you guys are objective over there that you just report the news as it is,” before being interrupted by the roaring laughter of the audience on set.  Both Colbert and Collins looked surprised, demonstrating how this was not intended to be a joke.  “Oh, I know CNN makes it…” Colbert stammered.  Collins questioned, “Was that supposed to be a laugh line?”

Colbert answered, “It wasn’t supposed to be, but I guess it is.”  The late-night host smoothed over the incident and changed the topic to Biden dropping out of the race.  “What I wanted to ask is that you guys still have your own feelings, your own bets about what’s going to happen on a daily basis. Did you think that Biden was going to step down? Did that take everybody over to CNN by surprise?”
