Vice President Kamala Harris recently said she would deliver her presidential platform “next week.” However, critics quickly pointed out that Harris had already outlined her platform in 2019 during her initial presidential bid, which the Democratic Party rejected. After Harris’ statement, conservatives quickly took to social media to call this out.
Philip Wegmann of Real Clear Politics posted about the news on X, writing, “Vice President Harris says to expect a policy platform from her ‘next week,’ telling reporters ‘it’ll be focused on the economy and what we need to do to bring down costs.’” One of the most significant pain points around the Biden-Harris administration
Others pointed out that Harris’ policy stances have already been widely circulated. “Her platform has already been announced. By her: Eliminate private health insurance, the Green New Deal, ban fracking, decriminalize illegal immigration, taxpayer-funded healthcare for illegal immigrants, gun confiscation & redirecting funds away from police. All on the record,” Guy Benson wrote.
Others were highly skeptical about the new platform, given that Kamala has been in the White House for the entirety of the Biden administration. “She’s been VP for over 3 years but she’ll share some ideas ‘next week.’ Dont be duped,” Richard Grenell said. Republican Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) weighed in, “1) What happened to ‘Bidenomics is working’? 2) Why isn’t Kamala Harris focused on bringing down costs in the job she has now?”
The American Tribune recently reported on a new anti-Kamala Harris ad from the Trump campaign, which highlighted Harris’s radical, far-left rhetoric. Former president Donald Trump introduced the new video at a recent rally, which called out “what Kamala Harris would do as president,” using statements she has made over the past several years.
In the clip, Harris said, “Yeah, I am radical. We need to get radical about what we are doing and take it seriously.” The video then addressed various far-left policy stances Kamala has advocated for in recent years. “As President of the United States, I am prepared to get rid of the filibuster to pass a Green Deal,” she said. Similarly, the anti-Harris ad called out her goal to “ban fracking.” She outright stated, “There’s no question. I’m in favor of banning fracking.”
The clip also drew attention to Harris’ hostility toward the Second Amendment through a “gun confiscation” agenda, where she previously said, “We have to have a buyback program. And I support a mandatory buyback program.” Moreover, Harris has been criticized for a “socialist” view on healthcare, where Harris suggested private healthcare should be entirely eliminated, which she said, “Let’s eliminate all of that.”
Harris has also commented that she would force dietary changes on the American public, such as reducing meat consumption. Kamala has also shown support for the “defund the police” agenda, where she endorsed revising police budgets. “Where do you stand on defund the police?” Kamala was asked, and she said, “This whole movement is about rightly saying we need to take a look at these budgets.”
