It is often said that nothing good happens after 10 p.m., and late-night videos of Waffle House patrons getting into violent brawls certainly prove this point. Many videos of angry customers beating each other at the legendary waffle joint during the wee hours of the morning have gone viral on social over the past few years.
Footage from earlier this summer gained traction on X, showing all-out chaos erupting between several women at an undisclosed Waffle House location. It is unclear what provoked the conflict, but from the get-go, tensions were high. At the beginning of the video, the fight appeared to be centered around one woman and two female restaurant employees.
The videographer begins recording as the confrontation has already been initiated. The viewers are met with indecipherable shouting coming from all directions. One woman appears to be standing on a table or chair, yelling at the commotion from the periphery of the room. The man recording the incident sits at the countertop and asks the employees, “Ay, can y’all get that…” before they set their sights on a woman in front of the counter.
One employee launches a glass plate at the customer wearing a jean jacket, which strikes her in the side of the torso before falling to the ground, smashing to pieces, and joining a pre-existing sea of broken glass. This suggests that it may not have been the first time in the evening that dishes had been used as projectiles to settle the unspecified dispute.
As the two female employees are shouting at the woman, who actively displays aggressive body language, one of them decides she has had enough and removes her wig before proceeding to escalate the situation. She charges the patron, throwing a barrage of punches. Simultaneously, the second employee engages another female customer in hand-to-hand combat.
The man recording the incident turns the camera on himself, repeatedly exclaiming, “Oh, it’s going down in this b***h.” The cameraman looks to have donned his finest jewelry for the first-row seat to the Waffle House rendition of a UFC cage match, sporting what appears to be a Cuban link chain around his neck and a bedazzled grill for his teeth.
A couple of their women lost their sandals in the scuffle, seemingly immune to the pain of walking barefoot over the array of broken dishes on the floor. As several of the assailants were temporarily immobilized in a booth, someone could be heard shouting, “Nah, nah, nah, put that fork down,” implying that a participant in the skirmish was seeking to impale another.
Watch the incident below:
While an artillery fire of dinner plates continued to rain down on the restaurant, the videographer said, “Bro, I paid for my food. I’m hungry as f***,” as his meal was interrupted since the cooks had other plans. As the fight fizzes out, the man persistently seeks the attention of the embattled staff, inquiring as to when he can expect his eagerly anticipated meal.
