Famous rapper Waka Flocka Flame recently delivered a slight to supporters of President Joe Biden during a recent club performance in Utah. While onstage at Club Sky in Salt Lake City, Mr. Flame, whose real name is Juaquin James Malphurs, instructed members of the audience to get out if they were voting for the incumbent Democrat.
“All my Joe Biden voters, get out. We going to see ya’ll at the bingo game,” the “Grove Street rapper stated. “We’re going to party right now for our f− president, T24,” he went on, seemingly referring to former President Donald Trump. Flame has recently voiced his support for the presumptive GOP nominee, sharing a succinct post last October that read, “TRUMP2024.”
Shortly after, the “No Hands” rapper posted a picture to his Twitter feed showing him posing beside Trump who was giving a thumbs up. The caption read “#NewProfilePic.” After he voiced his support for the former President, Malphurs posted another message, “I’m an not a politician and i don’t wanna talk politics… i only answer to the people that made me and that’s my FANS aka THE PEOPLE… i love y’all with every bone in my body man Squaddd.”
The American Tribune previously reported in May that Donald Trump had been invited to attend a Waka Flocka Flame concert in Miami on his birthday. Furthermore, the former president awarded Mr. Flame with a lifetime achievement award in 2021 for his philanthropic efforts with the Chicago-based non-profit organization Daughter of Destiny, an organization that helps women acquire basic necessities such as employment, food, housing, community, and healthcare.
Upon receiving the highly coveted accolade, the rapper expressed how grateful he was to have received the award from the President of the United States. “I just want to thank President Trump for recognizing me,” Mr. Flame said. “I wanna thank Bridget and just everyone who love me with enough love back and do everything that I’ve wanted to do that was generous.”
However, the support Waka Flocka has voiced for Trump in recent years differs drastically from the sentiment he has demonstrated in the past. The artist previously wrote “F**k Donald J. Trump” just two weeks before he declared his bid for presidency in June 2015. Regardless, recent events indicate that Mr. Flame is fully on board with the MAGA platform.
Other figures in the hip hop community have also publicly expressed their support for Donald Trump, such as model and rapper Amber Rose. “A lot of people shocked with your, you know, endorsement of Donald Trump. I mean, you’re all about women’s rights issues. I mean, what was the reason for the big change?” Rose was asked by a reporter. Watch the clip of Waka Flocka Flame kicking out Biden voters below:
Rose responded, “Is Donald Trump, not for women’s rights issues. I mean, I guess a lot of people were trying to make America great again. That’s for women too, right?” She further explained how she and other celebrities are no longer brainwashed by the left. “I think we’re just, we just did our research, and we’re just, you know, we’re not brainwashed anymore by the left. I can say that about myself. All these years, I’ve been brainwashed and I’m not anymore,” she said.
