Speaking in a video posted to X on the afternoon of Wednesday, June 19, former first lady Michelle Obama claimed, in a wild message to black Americans, that what happens in this upcoming November election between former President Donald Trump and current President Joe Biden is “critical” to protecting their “freedom.”
The message was part of her way of celebrating “Juneteenth,” the June 19 holiday meant to commemorate the very end of slavery in America, which took place on June 19 in Texas in 1865, as the Civil War drew to a final close. The holiday was mostly uncelebrated outside Texas until President Joe Biden made it a national holiday.
In any case, far-left Democrat and former First Lady Michelle Obama took the opportunity to post on X about the election, using Juneteenth as a reason. Beginning the Juneteenth video with a comment about Juneteenth, Mrs. Obama said, “Juneteenth is all about celebrating our collective freedom and fighting to protect it.”
Continuing, she claimed that everything from the “rights” of black Americans to the “planet” itself is “on the ballot” in November, insinuating that Trump would strip them of their rights and destroy the planet. She said, “Our power, our rights, and even our planet are on the ballot this year. So, now is the time to think about how you’re going to make your voice heard in this election.”
Next, she claimed that this is a “critical moment” for those who don’t want Trump to end the world and thus that everyone needs to vote. She said, wrapping up the video with a call to action, “Get yourself registered to vote, and then text three friends to do the same. Do not sit on the sidelines this year, because this is a critical moment for all of us.”
Captioning the video, Mrs. Obama wrote about Juneteenth, saying, “On Juneteenth, we celebrate our freedom, our resilience, and our progress. Today we’re honoring all the Black folks who came before us – who helped build our country with their bare hands – who marched and fought to do everything they could to build a better future for us all.”
Concluding the caption, she then added the same message about voting and changing America, in her view for the better, she wrote, “This Juneteenth, let’s pledge to keep using our voices and our votes to create the change we want to see in our country. Replying, Michelle received many supportive comments from leftists and negative comments from those on the right. One commenter said, “You are such a disgusting woman. You are just trying to get people to vote for Biden. You don’t give a fuck about Juneteenth or black people.”
Another commenter wrote, “I’m sorry, ma’am. You can’t possibly expect anyone in their right mind to vote for joe biden. They’re talking about drafting girls. And then all this talk about how you don’t need men expect men to want to go and fight in Ukraine. I believe most of us. Will take the prison time instead. Then suddenly, it’s completely legal for a Gay person to sexually discriminate and sexually assault straight men and women. And there’s no accountability. I don’t have to be mean. I don’t have to be nasty. I just have to simply state the facts.”
