Now that Bud Light, once a go-to light beer that many people knew of and were fine with, even if it didn’t taste great, is regarded by many on both sides as being a politicized beer, WWE legend Hulk Hogan launched “Real American Beer” with the hope that it will bring together people across a “divided” nation and become the beer of choice for “real Americans.”
That beer is called Real American Beer, and Hogan, speaking to Fox News Digital, argued that this is the sort of business opportunity that could be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. He further explained that he thinks it could bring together people of different creeds, races, and sexes, helping heal a very divided and often angry nation.
He said, speaking to Fox News Digital about his hope for the new beer that he rolled out the week of Monday, June 10, as regards healing the very divided American nation, “It doesn’t matter who you are, what you are, what your sex is, race, color, creed, what you believe in. This is for real Americans, and that’s what we all are.”
Continuing, Hogan explained that this could be the sort of business opportunity he infamously missed out on when the George Foreman grill went to Foreman instead of him. He said that his agent, Sam Perlmutter, called him to ask if he wanted to endorse a grill or a blender, but he couldn’t pick up the phone, so the grill ended up going to Foreman.
He said, speaking about how events led to him missing out on the endorsement that could have been the opportunity of a lifetime, “I was picking up my kids, so he called George after he called me. George picked a grill. I got the blender that wouldn’t even work. So that’s one of those wild, wild West deals that lives on forever.”
Hogan then spoke about how, when speaking to a Pabst Blue Ribbon executive at a convention, he got the idea for Real American Beer, which he hopes will be a venture as successful as the Foreman Grill. He said, “I said, ‘I got this crazy idea for a beer. I see the whole country being divided and diverse. I see this huge opening like the Red Sea parting, you know, everybody’s on one side, everybody’s on the other side.'”
Continuing, he said he told the executive, “’I got an idea for a beer that it doesn’t matter if you’re Republican or a Democrat. It doesn’t matter what sex you are, doesn’t matter what race you are, where you’re from, what you believe in. I’ve got a beer that’s going to bring America back together, one beer at a time. And that’s called Hulk Hogan’s Real American Beer, brother.”
Now, the beer is out and he hopes it helps unite people. He said, “We are more alike than we are different, but we really need to sit down and have a conversation. So that’s why Hulk Hogan’s Real American Beer, brother, is going to bring America back together one beer at a time.” He added, “People are tired of being separated. People are tired of being divisive. You know, we all want the same thing. We all want a good life.”
