According to recent reports, country star Morgan Wallen broke Taylor Swift’s record on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart after his latest hit single sat at the number one spot for the most consecutive weeks. Wallen’s latest tune with Post Malone, “I Had Some Help,” for 19 straight weeks on Billboard’s all-genre Hot 100 list this decade.
The country artist beats out Taylor Swift and Roddy Rich, who were tied for 18 weeks at the top of the chart. Following the news of Wallen’s success, fans have taken to social media to celebrate the singer. “He’s the hottest artist right now,” one person said. “And he’s got everything lined up for it to stay that way for a long time. Everything he puts out is better than the last – it’s amazing to watch his trajectory. Love it!!

The country superstar’s newest accolade comes after he was arrested in downtown Nashville in early April. Wallen noted that he wasn’t “proud” of his conduct, which involved hurling a chair off of a rooftop at the Chief’s bar.
“I didn’t feel right publicly checking in until I made amends with some folks,” Wallen said about the incident. “I’ve touched base with Nashville law enforcement, my family, and the good people at Chief’s. I’m not proud of my behavior, and I accept responsibility.” He continued, “I have the utmost respect for the officers working every day to keep us all safe,” he added. “Regarding my tour, there will be no change.”
Now fitting since Wallen just overtook Taylor Swift on the Billboard charts record, The American Tribune reported in early April when fans relentlessly booed Swift at one of the country singer’s concerts at the Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.
“This is the single most attended concert in the history of this building, and we’re the first to do it for two nights in a row,” Wallen told his audience. “I’m going to say that until Taylor Swift comes to town in the fall,” he added with a chuckle.
However, after he mentioned Swift’s name, a few fans cheered, but this was quickly dwarfed by a loud booing from a much more significant portion of the crowd. Notably, Wallen defended Swift, telling the fans, “We ain’t gotta boo, we ain’t gotta boo,” making it clear there were no hard feelings toward his fellow pop star.
“It’s commendable that Morgan Wallen took a stand to defend Taylor Swift and discourage his fans from booing. Showing respect and support for fellow artists, even in a lighthearted context, is important for fostering a positive and inclusive environment within the music industry. It’s good to see artists using their platforms to promote unity and mutual respect among their fan bases,” one person wrote on social media, praising Wallen for the respect he demonstrated toward Swift.
