Last week, former President Donald Trump was found guilty on all 34 felony charges in the hush money case brought against him by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg. Predictably, liberals and the mainstream media have joyously celebrated the Trump conviction in hopes it will assist President Biden in getting reelected later this year.
During a recent segment on ABC’s “The View,” the panelists addressed the verdict from the New York City trial. Co-host Joy Behar claimed that she was “so excited” upon learning that Trump was found guilty on all counts that she “started leaking” while shopping in Costco.
Behar stated, “My reaction was, I was at Costco, buying, you know, 10, boxes of Keurig coffee, and my watch, started to buzz, and I got so excited. I started leaking a little bit.” The panel then burst into laughter after she recounted the instance she learned of Trump’s fate in the case.
Sunny Hostin weighed in on the trial’s outcome, claiming it was a “win” for New York and the broader country. “I felt like America won,” Hostin stated. “I felt like New York won. I felt like the Manhattan DA’s office won. I felt like I won.” Whoopi Goldberg added, “He was cheap, and that’s what you get.” Behar continued, “There was a jury of 12. They all to a person said he was guilty on all 34 counts.”
Co-host Alyssah Farah Griffin, who formerly served as the White House Director of Strategic Communications under the Trump administration, became critical of the former president following his claims about the 2020 election.
“Knowing Donald Trump personally, there’s something in him that thinks he’s untouchable and will get away with everything. And even though this was the likely outcome, I don’t think he thought it was going to come,” Farah said. She further illustrated how Trump could “get away with this” as the appeals process would take time and the election is only five months out.
Panelist Ana Navarro claimed that Trump made her life a “living hell,” expressing the belief that he needs to be held accountable. “This is a man who made my life a living hell for four years, has made the life of our country a living hell for six years, and so he deserves to be accountable,” she said. “He has been Teflon Don his entire life. He has been getting away with cheating and lying and doing things and, you know, criminal acts for all this time.” Watch Behar’s comment below:
Throughout the hush money case, former President Trump has maintained his innocence while insisting that the prosecution was a politically motivated witch hunt designed to thwart his campaign efforts ahead of the election.
In post-court comments, Trump appeared unfazed by his felony conviction, asserting that the “real verdict” would come during the presidential election later this year. He maintained that he was fighting for the country and the Constitution, slamming the whole trial as a rigged disgrace.
