Rep. Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez was recently criticized by Trump supporters at the South Bronx rally last week after the congresswoman made disparaging comments about the event. AOC suggested that the rally was a “trick” that would bring in a large group of “out-of-towners.”
However, a recent segment on Fox News’ “Jesse Watters Primetime” highlighted many attendees at the rally who vehemently opposed AOC. “You need to tell her that she needs to stay out of the Bronx because look at all the people around. Everybody’s here for Trump,” one man said.
Another woman added that AOC has “done nothing” to improve conditions in her district. Another woman called on the Democratic representative to visit her in the Bronx and observe the struggles and hardships residents are enduring. “Let her come to the Bronx, and let her come among us people that struggle. She doesn’t even know what struggle is,” she stated.
According to estimates from the Trump campaign, as many as 25,000 people could have attended the rally in the heart of the deep blue city. Trump was well-received by the thousands of energetic attendees, who expressed their support for the former president.
Fox News spoke with various attendees who expressed their support for Trump, their criticisms of Biden, and explained how the country is much worse off compared to when Trump was in office. “We had low inflation, we had gas under a buck-eighty,” one person said. “He’s done nothing but say ‘you ain’t Black,’” one woman pointed out. “I guess I’ll say ‘I ain’t Black’ because I’m not voting for him.”
“Biden is not getting the job done for the Bronx,” Trump said during his speech. “The minute crooked Joe Biden shuffles out the door, I will rapidly rebuild the greatest economy in the history of the world.” The American Tribune recently reported on the comments from a pro-Trump activist who called on conservatives in the city to vote AOC out of office. Conservative activist Madeleine Brame urged the crowd to “voter her a** out.”
Brame addressed a number of issues plaguing the community, such as the fentanyl crisis that claimed the life of one of her sons, sky-high prices on basic necessities, and rampant illegal immigration that has flooded the streets of New York City.
“I’m a real person. I go to work every single day and I can’t even afford to pay rent. I have to make a decision to pay rent or buy food. I looked at my refrigerator right now. My refrigerator is empty. Because I decided to do my laundry. Then we have the illegals, flooding our borders coming into our communities, sucking up the resources that we already that we barely have. Why? Why shouldwe allow this to happen?” she asked.
She continued, “Every last person here needs to rise up against fighting mad. Get fighting mad and make sure that you are registered to vote and go out there and you vote up and down the line not just the presidency. The local elections are more important than the presidency. Get rid of AOC, vote her a** out. Get rid of Ritchie Torres, vote his a** out.” Watch Brame below:
