According to recent reports, a letter has resurfaced that could allegedly exonerate former President Donald Trump in the Stormy Daniel hush-money case. Trump posted a picture of the alleged letter from Stormy Daniels on Truth Social, which appears to show the adult film actress denying having an affair with the GOP presidential candidate.
The letter is titled “Official Statement of Stormy Daniels, ” dated January 30, 2018. The note addressed “To Whom It May Concern” begins, “Over the past few weeks I have been asked countless times to comment on reports of an alleged sexual relationship I had with Donald Trump, many, many, many years ago.”
It continued, “The fact of the matter is that each party to this alleged affair denied its existence in 2006, 20011, 2016, 2017, and now again in 2018. I am not denying this affair because I was paid “hush money” as has been reported in overseas owned tabloids. I am denying this affair because it never happened.” The letter concludes, “I will have no further comment on this matter. Please feel free to check me out on Instagram @thestormydaniels.”
Trump posted a picture of the letter on Truth Social with the caption, “LOOK WHAT WAS JUST FOUND! WILL THE FAKE NEWS REPORT IT?” The post quickly gained traction, with conservatives all over social media commenting on the evidence Trump shared.
For context, Donald Trump is facing a possible indictment over a reported payment of $130,000 in “hush money” payment to porn star Stormy Daniels made by Trump’s then-lawyer Michael Cohen. Apparently, the payment was part of a non-disclosure agreement that would prohibit Daniels from speaking about the alleged affair during the 2016 presidential campaign.
Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg has brought 34 charges against Donald Trump, where he is accused of falsifying business documents associated with payment to Daniels. Michael Cohen pleaded guilty in 2018 to charges of campaign finance violations, claiming he did so at the direction of Trump.
The American Tribune reported on a recent gag order that was imposed on Trump in the New York hush-money case. Supreme Court Justice Juan Merchan issued the order after Trump commented about a potential conflict of interest in the case. Trump’s lawyers have moved to sue the judge in an appeals court.
Trump posted about the matter on Truth Social, stating, “Judge Juan Merchan, who is suffering from an acute case of Trump Derangement Syndrome (whose daughter represents Crooked Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, Adam “Shifty” Schiff, and other Radical Liberals, has just posted a picture of me behind bars, her obvious goal, and makes it completely impossible for me to get a fair trial) has now issued another illegal, un-American, unConstitutional “order,” as he continues to try and take away my Rights. This Judge, by issuing a vicious “Gag Order,” is wrongfully attempting to deprive me of my First Amendment Right to speak out against the Weaponization of Law Enforcement, including the fact that Crooked Joe Biden, Merrick Garland, and their Hacks and Thugs are tracking and following me all across the Country, obsessively trying to persecute me, while everyone knows I have done nothing wrong!”
