Recently, the left-leaning mainstream media outlets have been criticizing former President Donald Trump over his choice of music. However, multiplatform rock star and friend of Trump’s, Kid Rock, appeared on Fox News’ “The Ingraham Angle.”
Axios recently posted a video on an individual critiquing the GOP presidential candidate for blaring loud music at both his personal events and rallies, claiming he ignores his advisors on “topic, tone, or volume.” Laura Ingraham called out the video while introducing the topic before bringing on Kid Rock.
“So Axios wants you to think this is all a bad thing because no one can have fun except the liberals, right? They write ‘after dinner, he’ll open his iPad and play the hits sometimes it’s so loud that people have trouble talking. Trump spinning through his golden oldies provides a telling lens into his style on a much bigger stages. It’s captures his obsession with a few familiar hits controlling the volume, never changing’,” Ingraham said.
Kid Rock, sporting a Budweiser hat and black sunglasses, offered his opinion on Trump’s classic taste in music. The rock musician noted that he agrees with Trump’s sentiment of playing good songs repetitively at a loud volume.
“That’s exactly how I feel when I play music. Every time I hear one of my favorite songs, whether it’s something from 50 years ago or something from two days ago, I come alive. I want to play it again. I turn it up,” he said.
Mr. Rock cited past experiences with the former president, such as afternoons on the golf course, where he opined that Trump plays his music so loudly because it drowns out the sea of voices talking to him on a never-ending basis.
Kid Rock continued, “I’ve been on a golf course with him, you know, a multitude of times and the iPad has only come into play in the last few years. I’m not for sure. And I don’t want to blow up his spot, but I think it’s because maybe everyone’s talking to him all the time. It’s like he just turned up a little bit and drown them out.”
The singer then addressed the GOP frontrunner’s choice of playlist, emphasizing that it features a number of classics that never grow old. Kid Rock mentioned one instance in which he suggested that Trump play various versions of The Star Spangled Banner to trigger leftists.
“But man, he’s got so many good songs playing it’s like it’s a playlist I would play I’ve heard House of the Rising Sun. I’ve even heard Springsteen songs. You know, Elvis Elton John, and then there’ll be these patriotic tunes or whatever I would employ him. I think I told him I said, Mr. President, I said you know what you should do? You should just play the Star Spangled Banner, a different version of it over and over and over again. So we could just watch liberal tears fall like rain,” he said.
Kid Rock emphasized the quality of Trump’s song selection, stating, “It’s awesome, freaking the best.” Watch the famous rockstar’s interview with Laura Ingraham, where they dive into Trump’s musical taste and the liberal backlash below:
