MSNBC personality Keith Olbermann had an utter meltdown in the wake of SCOTUS’ decision to overturn the Colorado Supreme Court ruling removing Trump from the ballot under the Insurrection Clause of the 14th Amendment. Olbermann, in his hysteric tweet about the ruling, declared that the Supreme Court should be dissolved because of the ruling.
As background, Olbermann is a far-left personality, even for MSNBC, who is mainly known for his frequent, often unhinged tweets about Trump, whom he despises. He was one of those initially suspended by Elon in December of 2022 over the tracking of Musk’s private jet, as Olbermann had tweeted a link to the jet tracker, which Elon contended was putting his safety at risk. Olbermann used to be an MSNBC commentator and how runs his own podcast.
In any case, in his X post about the SCOTUS ruling, Olbermann declared, “The Supreme Court has betrayed democracy. Its members including Jackson, Kagan and Sotomayor have proved themselves inept at reading comprehension. And collectively the “court” has shown itself to be corrupt and illegitimate. It must be dissolved.”
That then led to a war in the comments section. Gunther Eagleman, for example, a conservative X personality, wrote, “Cry more… 9-0.” Olbermann responded by saying, “Those aren’t tears, Fascist. They’re urine. I’m sure you enjoy being bathed in it.” In a follow-up tweet, Olbermann added, “By the way, fathead, if this court now grants Trump this hallucination of “presidential immunity” it applies to Biden too. And he could arrest the justices and cancel the election and you couldn’t do shit about it.”
Commenting on Olbermann’s unhinged tweeting, one individual said, “Jesus. You’d think there would be *someone* who still cares enough about Keith to tell him he’s gone completely off the rails. I guess even friends and family will only put up with just so much…”
Another non-woke X personality, The Redheaded Libertarian, wrote, “Dissolve the separation of powers to save democracy?” Olbermann went ballistic about that comment as well, responding by saying, “If the political whores on the court are overruling quite explicit language in the constitution to benefit one politician, your “separation of powers” died long ago.” She then shot back at Olbermann, commenting, “Golly. Which clause was overruled, Keith?”
Still more conservative X accounts joined in poking fun and calling out Olbermann. One, for example, wrote, “I’m convinced you’re working for Trump. Every time you open your mouth or post anything on the Internet, it only makes more Trump supporters. There’s just no chance you are actually this insane 😂”
Mindy Robinson, another conservative X personality, added, “Because nothing is “more democratic” then demanding your political enemies be removed off a ballot, over an incident 100% contrived by the Deep State and the fake news media specifically to punish people for “daring” to demand a an audit into a helluva suspicious election… 🧐”
Also joining in was the Washington Examiner’s Tim Young, who noted that Olbermann’s radically anti-Trump position put him at odds with even Justice Jackson, writing, “You know Keith Olbermann has lost it when he even turns on the Supreme Court Justice who claims to not know what a woman is.”
