President Biden recently traveled to East Palestine, Ohio, to make his first appearance at the site of the disastrous train derailment that happened over a year ago. The accident had a catastrophic impact on the surrounding community, and many have criticized the Biden administration for its lackluster response.
As one might expect, many residents of East Palestine harbor a good deal of resentment toward Joe Biden, slamming the president for waiting so long to visit. In contrast, Donald Trump made it a point to visit the community shortly after the accident, providing aid and resources to impacted residents.
Recent footage captured in East Palestine shows a crowd of angry residents protesting Biden’s visit for being “too little too late.” The video shows the crowd shouting “Let’s Go Brandon” while displaying a sea of Trump memorabilia.
Conservative journalist Ben Bergquam captured the atmosphere of the event, uploading it to X. “Guys out here nice Palestinian. This is Joe Biden finally showing up more than a year later. And that’s the message real simple too little too late. too little too late,” he said in the video.
“This is Trump country here,” a protestor named Mike said. “This is nothing but a political stunt. Mike Rowley says he’s going to be our next Congressman this town needs $250… $300 million. Our slogan is too little too late, Mr. Biden. You don’t see any support in this town.” Mike emphasized that he would only refer to Joe Biden as “Mr. Biden,” refusing to address him by his presidential title.
The powerful video Bergquam captured shows that the East Palestine residents are not interested in Biden showing up to the devastated town when it is convenient for the upcoming election later this year. Judging by the outward expression of the gathered residents, there is clearly demand for former President Donald Trump back in the White House.
Bergquam posted the video to X with the caption, “Happening now in East Palestine, Ohio. The messages is simple, “Too Little Too Late Joe!” The people of East Palestine want Trump back in office; somebody who actually puts #AmericaFirst, not Joe Biden, who puts foreign countries and illegal aliens above American citizens! No more #AmericaLast Joe, it’s #Trump2024. And to US Senator Sherrod Brown, bringing Joe Biden out here isn’t going to help you!”
The American Tribune recently reported on comments from East Palestine Mayor Trent Conaway, who slammed Biden, instructing him to only visit his town after he loses to Trump in the 2024 election. “The best time for Biden to visit would be February 2025 when he’s on his book tour,” the mayor stated.
Biden previously explained that his schedule was too “busy” to fit in a trip to East Palestine. “I haven’t had the occasion to go to East Palestine yet; there’s a lot going on here, and I just haven’t been able to break,” Biden stated. “I was thinking I’d go to East Palestine this week, but then I was reminded that I’ve literally got to go around the world. I’m going from Washington to India to Vietnam to… and so it’s going to be wild,” the president said.
