As the election grows closer, more focus and media attention are being paid to both candidates. As if the left could obsess any more over former President Donald Trump, seemingly every move or misstep he makes is blasted across CNN, MSNBC, and the legacy media. Perhaps to deflect from Joe Biden’s rapidly decreasing mental acuity, if Trump so much as forgets a name, which he rarely does, leftists call for mental testing for the former president.
Never mind that Trump can hold two-plus hour events where he speaks without a teleprompter and doesn’t miss a beat; the left is desperate to do or say anything to derail the Trump train. As the current president and presumed nominee, Joe Biden continues to age, and his decline seems to be happening faster, in real-time. Biden is 81 currently and will be 86 years old at the end of a second term. This prospect has even many on the left concerned.
Recently, comments from White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre from a press conference early last year have been making the rounds. KJP was being grilled about whether Biden is viewed as “equally adept in all settings in terms of communications.” KJP isn’t known for being the most eloquent Press Secretary or even the best liar, but her response left social media in stitches.
Jean-Pierre replied, “The president is the best communicator that we have in the White House.” This is a dubious claim considering the president’s long, storied history of issues with the human language, especially since entering the White House. On cue, many on social media were quick to question the ridiculous boast and point out the obvious.
It wasn’t just regular folks that lampooned the assertion. Numerous celebrities, commentators, and politicians weighed in as well. Outkick personality and conservative commentator Tomi Lahren wrote, “Welp, if this is true we are SCREWED.” Lahren has been a vocal defender of women’s sports and a critic of the Biden White House.
DC Examiner columnist T. Becket Adams hilariously agreed with the claim. He said: “compared to Buttigieg (McKinsey speak), Kamala (Predictive Text speak), and the actual WH spokeswoman herself (*Loading Text*), this … this is a true statement. Biden actually is the best communicator the WH has to offer. Oh God.” Adams is hilariously referring to the difficulties Harris and KJP have in forming coherent sentences and rational thought.
Senator Ted Cruz savagely jabbed at Biden and KJP when he wrote: “The guy can’t utter coherent sentences on a regular basis… but at least he hasn’t called Canada ‘Canadia.'” Jean-Pierre mistakenly called our northern neighbor “Canadia” earlier in the week when discussing an unidentified object spotted over the country. Town Hall columnist Brad Slager took aim at KJP, “Good for her – the first step is admitting you have a problem.”
As an example of KJP not doing great, watch her try to explain by Biden doesn’t need a cognitive test here::
There absolutely are problems in the White House. Joe Biden seems more incoherent with every speaking event, and the options behind him aren’t much better. The Democrats don’t have a deep bench, and with the election approaching, it may be too late to offer a replacement for the aging ex- Vice president. If President Trump doesn’t win in November and Biden is reelected, how much worse will it be in the next four years?
