“Are You Serious??”: Famous Rapper “Killer Mike” Arrested at the Grammy’s After Receiving Three Awards [WATCH]

Famous rapper Killer Mike was recently arrested at the Grammy’s in Los Angeles after he won several awards.  The musical artist was reportedly escorted from the venue in handcuffs, sparking speculation about why the rapper was arrested.
Conservative commentator Collin Rugg posted footage of the event on X as the news broke.  “BREAKING: Rapper Killer Mike gets arrested at the Grammy’s in Los Angeles after winning three awards. Just before getting taken out of the Crypto arena in handcuffs, Killer Mike won Best Rap Album, Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Song. Killer Mike was heard saying: “Are you serious?” to officers as they escorted him out of the building. It is currently unknown why he was arrested,” Rugg’s caption read.

As Killer Mike received his awards on stage, his excitement was palpable, and his infectious energy could be felt just by watching.  However, the rapper’s mood would quickly be soured as he would soon be in handcuffs.  As LAPD led him out of the Crypto Arena, Mike can be heard loudly exclaiming, “Are you serious??”  The police officers retorted that they were indeed serious.

The Daily Mail reported on the incident, noting that a “physical altercation” played some role in the arrest of the musician.  “At 4pm an adult male was taken into custody for a physical altercation that took place inside the arena,’ a spokesman from the LAPD said.  He further explained that the alleged “altercation” happened moments before the person was arrested.

Some reports suggest that Killer Mike became entangled in a scuffle with a security guard.  “Right now, the preliminary investigation is: he is being investigated for battery,’ the spokesman added. “He will not be identified until he is arrested and charged, if he is.”

“He actually hit someone in the crowd and it was recorded. So they called the police, showed the video, let him receive the awards and arrested,” an unconfirmed report alleged from an X user who commented under Rugg’s post.

Killer Mike won three awards, including Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance for ‘Scientists & Engineers,’ and the Best Rap Album for Michael.  “The only thing that limits your age is not being truthful about your age or what you’re doing,” the 48-year-old Mike said during the event.

“At 20 years old, I thought it was cool to be a drug dealer,” he continued. “At 40, I started to live with the regrets and the things I’ve done. At 45, I started to rap about it. At 48, I stand here as a man full of empathy and sympathy for the things I’ve done.”

Mike’s arrest aroused suspicion from other artists in the rap industry, where rapper Meek Mill claimed there was “propaganda” surrounding the arrest.  Despite the untimely arrest, Mill praised Mike for his influence over culture and music.
“Propaganda at an all time high too …. I love killer Mike big inspiration to me! He need more awards for the things he does for the culture! But getting 3 Grammies and getting arrested immediately after insanity … they award giving timing is very off to me,” Mill said.”
