The endorsements keep rolling in for GOP leader and former President Donald Trump. Joe Biden’s support is cratering in Georgia, as some recent polls have him down by as much as 8 points, and folks are getting skittish about backing a soon-to-be 82-year-old president. It isn’t just evangelicals and middle America backing Trump either.
The former President has been picking up steam in recent months as the political theater being perpetrated by the left wears thin on Americans’ patience and bank accounts. Despite the contrarian assessment by the Democrats that the economy is great, inflation is down, and the borders are secure, most Americans see better than they hear, and what they see are high costs, a humanitarian disaster regarding illegal immigration, and an economy that is stagnant and doesn’t look to be getting better anytime soon.
It has gotten so bad that even some celebrities are speaking out for change in Washington. Of course, there is always the usual core group of celebrities like Kevin Sorbo and James Woods that have no problem letting their preferences and opinions be heard, but an unexpected demographic is coming around and throwing their support behind President Trump.
The Iowa Caucus was an early indication that Trump is gaining momentum. His record-setting win was no real surprise, but it has caused others to jump on the Trump train. Vivek Ramaswamy dropped out of the race and immediately endorsed Trump, Ted Cruz declared the race ‘over,’ and Elise Stefanik has also reiterated her unwavering support.
The most unexpected bump in support is coming from the black community. Despite what the left tells people about black unemployment and real wages, many in the community feel left behind and lied to by a party that is supposed to be the savior of the black community. This desire for change has been manifesting itself on social media as scores of folks have talked about feeling the need for a top-down change in American politics.
The most recent influential rapper to throw what appears to be his support behind President Trump is Philadelphia rapper Meek Mill. The 38-year-old rapper and Dreamchasers CEO recently took to social media, and while he didn’t openly endorse Trump by name, he did voice his displeasure with the status quo.
Mill raised eyebrows on social media when he took to X and said: “Joe Biden is too old to be our president ‘respectfully’ wtf is going on in the American system that yall pushing this through like it’s okay to trust what we seeing. We talking [missiles] … advance technology… mental and physical warfare …. That’s not a lane for the older!”
Mill was referring to Biden’s recent attacks on Iranian-backed Houthi rebels. If his initial post wasn’t an outright endorsement of Trump, what he said a day later is as close as you can get. Mill also said: “Wait til y’all see who the black people in poverty voting for!!!!” This post somewhat divided social media, with some claiming that Biden is doing a great job. However, considering the number of paid provocateurs on X, it is hard to know who is serious and who is just playing for clicks.
While it isn’t an overt endorsement of Trump, Mill has essentially thrown his considerable voice behind the GOP. Many in his community realize Biden is old and ineffective, and if Trump gets those votes in N November, it could be “game over.”
