Fox News Channel’s Jesse Watters used a clever combination of pointed details and hilarious humor to take Fulton County DA Fani Willis to task over the allegations surrounding her and her alleged lover, Nathan Wade, who is one of three special prosecutors she hired to work on the case against Trump and more than a dozen of his associates.
As background, former Trump Campaign official Michael Roman unveiled the allegations about Willis and Wade in a court filing. It soon took the conservative media complex by storm and, digging into the allegations and court documents, the Daily Caller reported that it appeared DA Willis had paid Wade, a former trial attorney and judge, more than the leading expert in Georgia on RICO cases.
So, speaking on that, Watters unloaded on Willis for her apparent misdeeds in how she paid Wade. Beginning, he noted that Willis appears to have paid him for full 24-hour days, saying, “Fanny Willis’s Loverboy Nathan Wade might be the hardest working lawyer in America. Nathan allegedly billed taxpayers for 24 hours of work on the Trump Georgia case in a single day.”
Then, turning to comedy to joke about that, Watters noted their relationship and said, “That means Nathan was working all day and all night on Fanny’s case. What would Loverboy be working on past midnight? He wouldn’t be billing Fanny. No, he couldn’t be.”
Continuing, he said, “I’m sure he’s just burning the midnight oil at the office Loverboy is billed nearly 700 grand, is he making more than the lawyers who aren’t sleeping with Fannie? Is he making more because he’s more qualified than they are? Or is the lover just working harder?”
Then, after playing a clip of DA Willis claiming that she paid all of her special prosecutors the same amount, Watters alleged that documents show otherwise. He said, “False, Fanny, we have the docs. You’re paying lover boy half a million more than the other prosecutors and he’s billing $100 More an hour. So what are the Loverboy his credentials anyway?”
Watters wasn’t done there. Continuing, he argued that Wade’s credentials weren’t really proper for what he was doing and being paid. He said, “We found Loverboy’s resume. Impeccable is not a word I’d use to describe Nathan Wade’s credentials. Some of his highest profile cases involve car accidents. Loverboy represented a lady who was rear-ended by a beer truck. He tried getting her 300 grand for emotional and physical damages, but the case was dismissed.”
Continuing on that point, Watters said, “Loverboy is a piranha in small claims court. He represented an electronic store, who claimed the customer owed an 11 grand for some speakers weighed one that one and his biggest court victory of all time. Nathan Wade helped two people get their names changed. But Nathan does his best work with paternity cases. If you are not the father, you call winning 100 Loverboy and your child support payments will disappear faster than Hunter’s. Loverboy is like the black Ken Starr with a gun. Although he doesn’t have Ken Starr’s ethics, we just found out Nathan Wade admitted to destroying documents in a previous case. So maybe Fanny’s right. Maybe her lover is perfectly qualified for the Trump case.”
