WATCH: Yellowstone Creator Shreds Colorado Court Decision to Boot Trump From Ballot

Yellowstone has morphed into more than an award-winning show. It has become a cultural phenomenon, a multi-hit spinoff, and a line of merchandise, including sauces, clothing, and liquor. Despite the prolonged strike and the contractual squabbles the show has had with star Kevin Costner, every sequel is more popular than the last, and any news on spinoffs and resumption of production makes the national news.

The driving force behind the characters, storylines, and spinoffs, Taylor Sheridan has had the proverbial “Mida Touch” when it comes to crafting language, developing characters, and creating an authentic story, whether it be set in current times or the 1800s. In fact, Sheridan was recently awarded a medal by Choctaw Nation Chief Gary Batton for his ongoing efforts to include the perspective of native Americans in his stories.

Sheridan has been one of the biggest names on one of the hottest streaks in recent cinematic history. In fact, his opinion carries considerable cache in 2024. On January 4, Sheridan appeared on the Joe Rogan Podcast and unloaded on Colorado for their recent legal shenanigans in regard to former President and current GOP front runner Donald Trump.

During the interview, Sheridan had some choice observations about the situation. He said: “People can think of Donald Trump however they want to think of Donald Trump. It really doesn’t matter who the individual is. A court in Colorado is going to essentially make a decision based upon a trial that has not happened yet. They’re basically saying he’s guilty of something he hasn’t been tried for, and they’re removing him from a ballot.”

While it sounds as if Sheridan is speaking the obvious truth that anyone can see. Unfortunately, many like Sheridan, who has a voice and opinion, are afraid to express it. Sheridan isn’t one of them. He continued: “Right now, maybe, the Democrats feel they are justified in that action because they’re so terrified of what Donald Trump may do if he becomes president again, but are they thinking about what’s going to happen in 20 years or 30 years because this has now been established?”

Many on the left conveniently forget that the Republicans aren’t the first party to dispute an election. In fact, the Democrats essentially wrote the book on the topic. The 2000 election famously went before the Supreme Court before being settled in favor of George W. Bush. Sheridan mentioned the 2000 election: “People had forgotten that Al Gore and the Democratic Party — and I didn’t vote for George W. Bush — they contested that election then. They said it was rigged. They took it to the Supreme Court. We didn’t have a president, really, for almost two month.” Watch Sheridan here:

Sheridan is a very loud, very popular voice. It can only help that he is calling out the hypocrisy of the left while reminding people that contesting an election isn’t a new concept. Hopefully, Sheridan can get Yellowstone back on track so we all have something to look forward to while waiting for Joe Biden to move out of the White House.
