Speaking during a recent event, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis sounded off on the globalists and their organizations, particularly the Davos crowd and the World Economic Forum. In his words:
I want to have the values not of Davos imposed on us but in places like Destin and Dunedin where I grew up things like the World Economic Forum those policies are dead on arrival in the state of Florida we are not going to go down that road
Watch him here:
“Things like the World Economic Forum: those policies are dead on arrival in the state of Florida."

Many people on Twitter who saw that post of DeSantis loved it. Here are some of the top comments:
“I really hope he runs for president. He is the type of person with a narrative that we so desperately need.”
“How anyone can dislike him is beyond me. They obviously aren’t paying attn to this, or anything else he’s said or done over the past 2-3 yrs.
He’s one of the few who still regard personal choice & freedom as necessities for Americans – 2 things that are dying at rapid pace.”
“My only concern with DeSantis is that he just seems a little bit too good to be true!”
“I’d vote for him! He has been brilliant all through this past 3 years! I just wish we had someone solid like him here in the UK!”
Predictably, however, the DeSantis-hating libs were out in force too, saying things like:
“The world will look back on early clips of DeSantis like they do early clips of Hitler”
“Didn’t believe in Covid and over 70K Floridians died. Now DeathSantis is effectively saying he doesn’t believe in climate change or in bringing people together. This is short-sighted by a zealous, wanna be dictator.”
Another account chimed in to note that DeSantis might not be as anti-WEF/Davos as he claims, saying:
DeSantis is in bed with Davos.
"Ron DeSantis, governor of Florida has made clear that for him it is no longer a question of developing smart cities, but a question of how Florida can become the first “smart state”.https://t.co/CR5GFGNouP

The article linked by “Zero Rekt” claims that DeSantis is all aboard the “smart city” concept, saying:
Installation of energy efficient lighting and alternative energy sources allow cities to cut costs and carbon emission, making the clean, green future ever more achievable. Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark, is taking this particular approach, and has plans of being carbon neutral within the next few years. Efforts like this, along with responsible use of natural resources, are paving the way to a brighter world.
Ron DeSantis, governor of Florida has made clear that for him it is no longer a question of developing smart cities, but a question of how Florida can become the first “smart state”. On the same lines, Joe York, president of AT&T Florida, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands, who worked with DeSantis for his election campaign, said Florida has the chance to lead the nation in data infrastructure at a moment when 5G is rolling out and IoT is changing the nature of connectivity itself.
In Orlando, citizens are getting behind their mayor’s vision of a smarter city. Having won an award for smart city readiness, Mayor Buddy Dyer is seeking additional funding for projects, along with a call out for a private sector consultant who can provide the necessary know-how and technological capabilities to turn his dreams into a roadmap with a full-proof strategy.
A smart city of the sort described in the article would give government officials China-like levels of surveillance ability and, as everything is connected, an ability to crack down on and punish dissidents by cutting off their access to utilities and services.
On that note, another commenter noted that one of DeSatis’ top people is linked to the WEF, saying “DeSantis PR person, Christina Pushaw, worked for WEF Member Mikheil Sakaashvil. If he is hiring folks tied to WEF…he is OK with WEF.”
So, DeSantis is attempting to portray himself as anti-Davos and anti-WEF, but his support of a concept championed by those types that would give them unprecedented levels of control and surveillance is concerning.
