Judge Preska, a federal judge in New York, recently ruled that the names of more than 170 Epstein associates whose names had been kept sealed as part of a suit between Epstein accuser Virginia Guiffre and Epstein associate Ghislaine Maxwell will be revealed. Judge Preska set a 14-day period for appeals that will run out on January 1, meaning the names will likely be released on January 2 of 2024.
Epstein accuser Virginia Guiffre, the one whose suit involves the name, took to X to mock those who are going to be sweating bullets over the holidays as they wait for their names to be released, saying that they are on the “naughty list” and are about to be revealed.
She wrote, “Finally we are hearing members of the US government senators about the need for transparency and a call to arms for accountability!! There’s going to be a lot of nervous ppl over Christmas and New Years, 170 to be exact, who’s on the naughty list? This would t be possible without the Honourable Judge Preska 😇🎄❤️🦋”
That came in response to a tweet from Sen. Marsha Blackburn, who wrote, “I’m pleased that this court agrees with my calls for transparency and accountability on Epstein and his associates. The American people deserve to know who participated in Epstein’s crimes.”
Commenting on Guiffre’s post, people said things like “Blessings and Merry Christmas to you Ms. Giuffre. I pray that ALL responsible for these heinous crimes against you and so many others are finally held to account – no matter how powerful and protected their position is. And I hope it happens soon” and “Let’s hope that this is just the beginning. Justice can move glacially slowly. But still, it moves.”
In another tweet on the Epstein issue, Sen. Marsha Blackburn wrote that “accountability is coming,” saying, “The names of over 170 of Jeffrey Epstein’s high-profile associates are to be released in the first week of 2024. Accountability is coming.”
Sen. Blackburn also put the FBI on blast over its handling of the Epstein issue, saying, “One of the things we know from the victims and survivors that have stepped forward from this sex trafficking ring is that Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell had is that girls were recruited, then they were groomed, then they were put into this universe. Jeffrey Epstein, what we also know is that there are high profile, I call them high donor predator, high dollar predators, if you will, that would fly on this jet to his island or to different locales and for these victims, for the survivors, who said the FBI would not listen to them would not investigate information that they gave them, whether it was on the sex trafficking or on the child sexual abuse material that Jeffrey Epstein had.”
Continuing, she said, “So what we need to know is how large was this ring? We know that the survivors talk about the whip and scope of this. So let’s get to the bottom of it. Women and girls are hurt every day by human trafficking, sex trafficking. We have seen a proliferation of it in our country in recent years and this one is probably the most high profile. Let’s get answers from the FBI, which I am expecting from director Wray because he kind of punted when I asked him of why they did not respond to these victims and survivors and why they did not move forward with that investigation. And he also punted when it came to addressing the flight logs and seeing whom else may have been involved in this sex trafficking ring.”
