Rep. Mike Gallagher (R-WI) recently denounced a satanic Christmas tree that was on display in a railroad museum in his hometown of Green Bay, Wisconsin. Gallagher slammed the museum for the anti-Christian display and its lackluster response to public criticism.
The Republican representative explained how offensive the display is to Christians celebrating the true meaning of Christmas, the birth of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Gallagher equated the satanic Christmas tree to a blatant display of anti-Semitism towards Jews.
“It’s impossible to overstate how offensive this is to Christians,” Gallagher stated. “It would be, in quite a literal sense, the same thing as waving a Hamas flag inside of a synagogue,” he added. “It’s just absolutely crazy that we would allow this to happen.”
According to reports, the Satanic Temple Wisconsin erected the anti-Christian Christmas tree along with dozens of other trees that will be displayed at the National Railroad Museum until the end of December. Apparently, the tree is decorated with satanic iconography and some ornaments that read “Hail Santa!” Furthermore, another tree at the museum that is transgender-themed has also sparked controversy for its decorations of trans flags and signs that read, “Protect trans kids!”
The National Railroad Museum CEO Jacqueline Frank addressed the backlash against displaying these Christmas trees, stating that the museum doesn’t “discriminate” and allows anyone to erect a tree.
“We believe that everybody should be included regardless of their religious group, regardless of any business or organization that they’re a part of,” Frank said. “So we don’t discriminate. Since we’re not a religious group ourselves, we’re going to allow anyone who wants to take place to take part.”
Gallagher said the museum has claimed the satanic decoration is considered “an educational opportunity,” which he considers a “ridiculous” assertion. The representative noted that he would not be taking his children to events hosted by the museum anymore. “I don’t want them to be surrounded by satanic trees. The local reporting has been insufficient. The whole thing is absurd,” Gallagher explained.
According to Gallagher, conservative parents are “just trying to defend basic traditions — or defend our children in the midst of these basic traditions — from the encroachment of woke ideology, or offensive upside-down cultural propaganda.”
The congressman further noted that the woke agenda is now expanding to the flyover states throughout America, where it was once thought to be confined to liberal blue states. “I thought that Northeast Wisconsin was at least immune to something that you might see in New York or California, but we need to be vigilant as parents,” he said.
As Gallagher illustrates with his experience in Wisconsin, many feel the traditional values that once made up American culture are coming further under attack. The American Tribune recently reported on the timely advice from a famous Christian actress who highlighted the importance of Biblical parenting.
Candace Cameron Bure said, “We’re definitely in a time of a culture war, and I think the best thing that any of us can do as parents is to be consistent and that we actually walk our walk and we show it by example and not just talk the talk.”
