Mark Wahlberg recently spoke about the impressive achievements of his 13-year-old daughter, Grace, and the high goals she has set for her equestrian interests. The 52-year-old actor claimed she has set out to compete at the Olympic level eventually.
Wahlberg noted that the impressive work ethic and dedication Grace has demonstrating was something he didn’t possess until he was decades older than her. “My daughter, believe it or not, is more disciplined than me,” Wahlberg said. “I didn’t adopt that kind of discipline until I was in my 30s, and I had to do it because of work,” he said.“And now, she does it on her own because she wants to be an Olympian.”
Mark’s wife, Rhea Durham, recently shared updates on social media regarding her daughter’s accomplishments, highlighting some of Grace’s equestrian accolades. “Last day of showing at the Nationals,” Durham posted on Instagram about Grace and her horse earlier this month. “So proud of you Grace and Bernadette! You guys went double clear in the children’s mini Grand Prix today and dad and I almost threw up but we made it through.”
The famous actor has continually lauded his young daughter for her undeniable passion and dedication to her equestrian sport. Wahlberg has commented that her work ethic serves as a strong example for his other children to live up to and strive toward.
“She works out now. She’s an equestrian. She now wants to go up in meters and to be a Grand Prix Jumper. She’s got to train,” Wahlberg stated. “She’s doing things that my other kids are kind of now starting to think, ‘Well, we’ve got to start doing something because she’s got it all figured out, what she wants to do and how she wants to do it,” he continued. “And she’s doing the work….She does not mess around. If you’ve even think about getting her there late or missing something, it’s a big problem.”
The American Tribune has consistently reported on comments from Mark Wahlberg throughout the recent past, as he often shares his views relating to his Christian faith and dedication to his family. Wahlberg indeed serves as a better example for the broader country to follow compared to the vast majority of his woke Hollywood counterparts.
For example, earlier this year, Mark illustrated the importance of his Christian faith and the role it plays in his daily life. The actor also explained how he fled California to emphasize his family and children more, as to prioritize their interests over his.
“I attribute everything good and everything positive in life to my faith. … As soon as I started putting my faith and focus on God, good things started happening for me. And even when they didn’t, it gives you the coping skills to deal with things that are inevitable, like loss and failure and those things. But, you know, again, my faith and my family, those are the most important aspects of my life,” Wahlberg said.
“My kids are doing fantastic. You know, I wish I would’ve made the move sooner. … I spent lots of time in LA pursuing my own professional aspirations. And, so, to be able to now put them in a position to where they can pursue theirs, their interests, it’s definitely the right thing to do, and it’s long overdue,” he said.
