It is a strange time for American culture and politics. Since Joe Biden took office and ran the country off the rails economically, and the woke movement ruined the country socially, slowly but surely, people are waking up and realizing that things have to change.
Former and hopeful next President Donald Trump, who lorded over one of the best four-year periods the nation has seen economically, has been gaining momentum, and most polls have him with a substantial lead over Joe Biden. Of course, the election is still a year away, and anything can happen, but barring something catastrophic, it appears to be Trump vs Biden, part two.
In the interim, Trump continues to pick up support from two key demographics usually reserved for Democrats. The former President has seen his polling number with the Hispanic, Latino, and black communities surge in the wake of the subpoenas and political theater being orchestrated by the left.
Recently, President Trump picked up another unlikely endorsement, this time from one of the rap world’s most popular and bombastic female rappers. Azealia Banks has gained international fame for her music and her legendary feuds.
The 32-year-old rapper recently did an interview and had lots to say about culture, politics, and Donald Trump. She opined that Ron DeSantis has “fat boy syndrome” and Joe Biden in the White House is “elder abuse.’ She went on to throw another jab at Florida Governor DeSantis when she said: “Seriously, that’s the guy who’s running for president? The guy who wants to argue with Mickey Mouse? Mm. Okay.”
However, on the subject of President Trump, Banks had nothing but praise. On the subject of the GOP frontrunner, she said: “He’s just f***ing funnyyy. He’s been through how many bankruptcies? How many wives? How many television shows? Seriously, nothing can take him down.”
The appearance that Biden’s DOJ has weaponized against Trump has resonated with many in the black community who feel they can suddenly commiserate. This explains much of the change of opinion by black voters in terms of whether they favor Trump or Biden.
Banks recently relocated from Los Angeles to Miami, Florida, and notes how she feels “way safer” in a state where “everyone carries a gun.” She also revealed she will be voting for Trump once again in 2024. When asked if there were any apprehensions about President Trump once again having access to nuclear weapons, the rapper hilariously said: “Well, he didn’t press it the first time. You never know, Biden might hit the wrong shit on the antennae and blow the whole thing up.”
It is a simplistic take but also very accurate. None of the fear-mongering that liberals specialized in during Trump’s presidency came true. There was no war, America didn’t get compromised by Russia, LGBT folks didn’t lose any rights; in fact, the country was in a much better place, and black, white, and other people are waking up and realizing maybe Trump was right about everything.
An endorsement is an endorsement, and if Banks can sway voters from her own community, the country, and Trump are better for it. It remains to be seen if this momentum will continue, but for now it looks good for 2024.
