Former President Donald Trump recently sounded off on “crazy, woke” Disney while giving a speech at a Florida rally. Trump, who has been leading the Republican primary polls by a massive margin, has been hot on the campaign trail preparing for 2024.
While at a packed rally in Hialeah, Florida, Trump recognized notable businessman Ike Perlmutter, who was in attendance. Perlmutter, a billionaire and Marvel Entertainment chairman, reportedly has a history of political support to the Republican party and Donald Trump.
“Some of the people I know, some of the smartest people, I have one of them here tonight, he’s one of the most incredible businessmen in the world,” Trump said. “The great Ike Perlmutter,” Trump continued. “He’s one of the greatest businessmen. He owned Marvel, he told it so Disney. He’s not too happy with Disney going woke. I will tell you, but he’s one of the greatest businessmen.”

Disney has garnered a horrible reputation among conservatives for its incessant woke, liberal agenda. The company has been slammed for injecting political messaging into its entertainment, driving away some of its audience. Moreover, Disney also picked a fight with Florida Governor Ron DeSantis for opposing his legislation to remove sexual ideology from some classrooms.
It is unsurprising that Trump would have a positive reputation among some leaders of the business community, such as Perlmutter, given the state of the economy under his presidency and pro-business policies. Especially compared to the past few years of the Biden administration, which has been plagued with historically high inflation and a pessimistic economic outlook, Trump’s economy was thriving. Furthermore, Trump’s policy initiatives were generally characterized by deregulating critical sectors of the economy, lowering taxes, and promoting domestic job creation.
Donald Trump recently received a substantial endorsement from the legendary conservative business icon Bernie Marcus, who co-founded the retail giant Home Depot. Citing the dire circumstances America is faced with, Marcus gave his support to Trump as the best candidate to correct America’s course.
“I am 94 years old and like many of you, I am exhausted by politics and saddened by what I see happening to America. I had hoped it was time for me to move to the sidelines and let younger generations continue the fight to preserve America’s founding freedoms and values. But, like so many of us, I realized that I could not let myself walk away; the stakes are just too high,” Marcus explained.
“We cannot let the America we see today be what we leave to our children and grandchildren. Many of our once-great cities have devolved into lawlessness with random violent attacks on innocent people, rampant looting, and large-scale homeless encampments. There are rarely consequences for the wrongdoers because George Soros-elected prosecutors across America refuse to prosecute them,” the Home Depot co-founder added.
Marcus continued expounding upon the disconcerting (at best) path America appears to be headed on, illustrating how high the stakes are for the American way of life. Marcus pointed out that Trump is all but guaranteed to win the Republican primary election and is the best chance at defeating Joe Biden in the general election.
“For these reasons, I endorse Donald J. Trump as the nominee of the Republican Party and as our next President. I endorse him not only because he has the best chance of winning the general election but because he is the best person to take on and dismantle the administrative state that is strangling America,” Marcus stated.
