Jesus Ayala, 18, and Jzamir Keys, 16, are the two Las Vegas-area teens who are accused of killing retired police chief Andreas Probst by mowing him down in a stolen car in which they were driving on a joyride. The two are accused of killing former chief Probst because a horrifying video of them running him over, one seemingly filmed by Ayala and Keys, emerged shortly after the incident.
The two teens just appeared in Nevada’s Clark County court on Tuesday and, during their court appearance, could be seen laughing, smiling, and even flipping off the victim’s family, clearly neither showing remorse for what they did nor showing any respect for the judicial system or family of their victim.
The X (formerly Twitter) account End Wokeness helped make the video of their disturbing courtroom behavior go viral. Posting the horrifying clip, that account said, “The 2 teens who murdered retired police officer Andreas Probst (while they live-streamed it) were in court today. They were laughing, joking around, and flipped off the officer’s family.”

Commenting on the matter and seemingly confirming what can be seen in the terrible video, The Las Vegas Review-Journal noted, “Jesus Ayala, 18, and Jzamir Keys, 16, both face charges of murder in connection with the fatal hit-and-run crash that killed Andreas Probst. The retired police chief’s widow and daughter, 60-year-old Crystal Probst and 27-year-old Taylor Probst, said they saw the two teenagers laugh in their direction and flip them off while they were waiting for Tuesday’s hearing to start.”
Both Ayala and Keys have been indicted on murder, attempted murder, failing to stop at the scene of a crash, battery, residential burglary, grand larceny of a vehicle, and possession of a stolen vehicle charges. Both have also pleaded not guilty.
.Another video, also drawn attention to by End Wokeness, shows Ayala bragging to the police officer who arrested him that he will be out of jail within a month despite the enormity of his crimes. Posting the video on X, End Wokeness captioned it, “NEW FOOTAGE RELEASED: ‘I’ll be out in 30 days. Watch, I bet you.’ Jesus Ayala deliberately hit and kiIIed retired cop Andreas Probst and live-streamed it. During his arrest, he bragged to the cop that he will get off with a slap on the wrist. The exchange was caught on his bodycam.”

Retired Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Officer Phil Ramos, speaking to NewsNation about the incident, said, “Their behavior has to be explained to some extent, but it starts at home. They’re not raised like this; it starts at home, and that’s where it goes wrong, and they just spiral out of control.”
Ramos then added, commenting on the enormity of the crime and the criminal histories involved in the incident, “Especially, at this age, to commit a crime like this, so heinous, at this age. I’m not surprised about the tattoos on the face, and I’m not surprised about the lengthy juvenile history.”
