‘God Is Good’: NFL Player Alex Anzalone Thanks God And Fans Following Parent’s Safe Return From Israel

NFL linebacker Alex Anzalone is breathing a sigh of relief after announcing that his parent has finally begun their trip back home following a scary couple of days trapped in Israel following Hamas’ surprise attack on the Jewish nation. Speaking to reporters, Anzalone thanked God for returning his parents safely from their church trip.

Anzalone revealed the news on Sunday and still went on to play an NFL game for his Detroit Lions team. Even though all of the stress, uncertainty, and helplessness that he felt about his parent’s situation, Anzalone stayed and battled for his team.

On Twitter, Anzalone briefed fans on the most recent update regarding his parents. Anzalone thanked fans for their thoughts and prayers and thanked God for the safe return of his parents. Through the entire ordeal, he has been sure to keep God at the forefront of his mind and remain grateful for his fans who are praying for the family every step of the way.

He wrote. “Thank you to everyone who has been saying prayers for my family and their safety. It’s been a scary, anxiety filled several days but my parents are headed home safely. So many people to thank but I know this, God is good.”

The family was in Israel on a church tour, checking out historical sites that hold Biblical significance, when the surprise attack was launched last week. Pastor Alan Brumback of the First Naples Church was on the trip as well and relayed news back home to the church’s communications Pastor Andy Wells.
While the group was still stranded abroad with no apparent route back home, Wells said, “He continues to communicate that the entire team is doing well and in good spirits. As of now, their return flight is on schedule. Our prayer is that they are able to return on their regularly scheduled flight and be back to us soon.”
Lions head coach Dan Campbell also offered a brief but insightful message about the situation. Though he was uncomfortable sharing personal information, he did indicate that the family was safe at the time.
Campbell said, “I don’t want to elaborate on anything, but he felt they were safe It’s just finding a way out. I know it’s not easy, and I know it weighs on him heavy. That’s a tough deal out there.”
This current situation in Israel, with war having been declared and massive bloodshed sure to take place, has begged a very important question of Americans. Would this have happened with Donald Trump still occupying the Oval Office? He sure doesn’t think so. The former president and current 2024 Republican frontrunner seems certain that his presence would have prevented this conflict.

Trump also seems sure that the situation was worsened by the presence of current Democrat President Joe Biden, who Trump believes could have stopped the war from reaching this precipice upon which it currently sits.
