It has been just a year since the famed tattoo artist and fashion icon Kat Von D threw away her witchcraft books and now she is moving even farther away from those dark days be joining the Christian church, as she showed in a recent video posted to Instagram in which she was baptized at a church while clothed in white.
The baptism was a big step for the artist, as she had been known, up until a year ago, as one of the celebrities into the darkness that is witchcraft. However, she moved away from that in 2022, building on her first starting to indicate that she was occasionally going to church in 2021, telling her followers on Instagram that she had gotten lots wrong in her past and was ready to move away from the “macabre.”
“I don’t know if any of you have been going through changes in your lives right now, but in the last few years I’ve come to some pretty meaningful realizations — many of them revolving around the fact that I got a lot of things wrong in my past,” she said.
Continuing, she said that she took a dramatic step toward wiping away much of her old life by throwing away all that associated with her old ways, saying, “Today, I went through my entire library, and threw out books that just don’t align with who I am and who I want to be.”
Explaining why, she said, “I’ve always found beauty in the macabre, but at this point, I just had to ask myself what is my relationship with this content? And the truth is, I just don’t want to invite any of these things into our family’s lives, even if it comes disguised in beautiful covers, collecting dust on my shelves.”
She remained not fully willing to turn on that scene at the time, however, adding, “In no way is this post designed to put anyone down if you’re into this stuff, because I think we are all on our own journey, and I love everyone regardless of where they might be at. But right now, it’s never been more clear to me that there is a spiritual battle taking place, and I want to surround myself and my family with love and light.”
Ending, she went on to say, “With that being said, I want to send extra love to everyone out there, and hope through some of these trying times, you are making meaningful changes in your life, too! Thanks for listening. 🖤”
Well, now she has moved on even more fully from that old life and her old ways, as could be seen in a recent video showing her getting baptized. The priest, before lowering her into the water, said, “Katherine Von Drachenberg, upon your profession of faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and in obedience to his divine command, I baptize you, my sister, in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.”
