Recently, the White House spoke out against the Republican initiative to open an impeachment inquiry against President Joe Biden. White House spokesman Iam Sams took to X (formerly known as Twitter) where he slammed the GOP for the efforts.
“House Republicans have been investigating the President for 9 months, and they’ve turned up no evidence of wrongdoing,” Sams claimed. “His own GOP members have said so….He vowed to hold a vote to open impeachment, now he flip flopped because he doesn’t have support…. Extreme politics at its worst.”

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy announced Tuesday that he would be directing several committees within the House of Representatives to open an impeachment inquiry into Biden as an attempt to acquire bank records and other pertinent documents for the ongoing investigation into the Biden family.
According to a statement from a spokesperson from the Oversight Committee, they “will soon pursue Hunter and James Biden’s personal and business bank records. The Committee also plans to interview additional Biden family associates.”
“This logical next step will give our committees the full power to gather all the facts and answers for the American public is exactly what we want to know the answers,” McCarthy said. “I believe the president would want to answer these questions and allegations as well.”
McCarthy claimed the House GOP has “uncovered serious and credible allegations into President Biden’s conduct.” He added, “These are allegations of abuse of power, obstruction and corruption. They warrant further investigation by the House of Representatives.”
The announcement garnered support from many other congressional Republicans. Member of the House Oversight Committee Rep. Scott Perry praised the initiative, claiming it is past due.“A formal impeachment inquiry into President Biden’s culture of corruption is long overdue and fully warranted,” he continued. “Honored to be on the House Oversight Committee — boy do I have some questions.”
Sen. Chuck Grassley of the Senate Judiciary Committee shared a similar sentiment. However, he reaffirmed that the efforts were not an impeachment, but just an inquiry for the time being to obtain more information. “The inquiry is an inquiry, it’s not an impeachment,” Grassley said. “It seems to me that it will open up an avenue to get a lot of information that we feel we’ve been stonewalled. So it’s up to the House what they do.”
The American Tribune recently reported on fiery statements from Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, who insisted that she would vote against funding the government over fellow Republicans refusing to back the impeachment effort against Joe Biden. “I’ve already decided I will not vote to fund the government unless we have passed an impeachment inquiry on Joe Biden,” she said. If the government cannot obtain sufficient funding, this could lead to a full-scale government shutdown.
“I will not fund the government because I will not fund the weaponized part of the government. I’m not going to continue to fund the Biden regime’s weaponized government. So there should be no funding for Jack Smith. Special Counsel,” Rep. Majorie Taylore Greene continued, passionately slamming the Biden regime3
