The left has made a cottage industry out of blame. From climate change to COVID-19, liberals love to blame conservatives for all of the nation’s woes. Of course, this is ludicrous, but nonetheless, the left loves to play the blame game. Their favorite target is former President and GOP front-runner for 2024, Donald Trump.
Under President Trump, America was energy independent, the economy was humming, the world was largely at peace, and China, Russia, and North Korea were minding their manners. Under Joe Biden, the opposite of all of this has happened.
Rather than accept responsibility for the mess the nation is in, liberals continue to find ways to assign blame for their failures. The latest, perhaps most absurd, attempt revolves around Burning Man.
The annual festival held in Nevada’s Black Rock Desert draws hundreds of thousands of attendees, celebrities, and wannabe hippies. The music festival features promiscuity, open drug use, and a hedonistic lifestyle that, at the festival’s inception, was considered bohemian but has devolved into little more than an unwashed orgy.
At this year’s iteration, a freak rainstorm dampened the reveler’s spirits and led to many being stranded. While the mainstream media has been describing the conditions as ‘heavy rains’ and ‘flooding,’ only one-half of an inch of rain actually fell. The geological design of the area and the composition of the soil led to the sloppy conditions.
This hasn’t stopped the left from blaming their favorite boogeyman, climate change, or blaming their favorite punching bag, Donald Trump. ABC’s “The View” even went so far as to blame Republicans and Donald Trump directly for rain.
Joy Behar ranted Tuesday: “This is one of the many tragedies this summer due to climate change. This is the one — the number one existential problem —”. Sunny Hostin also offered her pennies worth: “It rained three months’ worth over 24 hours.” Hostin failed to mention that the three months’ worth was slightly more than a sprinkle.
Behar then continued her nonsensical rant: “I hear Republicans say, ‘Oh, it’s not manmade, it’s not about fossil fuels. You know, when Trump was president, all of that went up, the fossil fuel usage went up. Menace to the planet. Please don’t vote for him, I’m begging you. Get him out of here, he’s so dangerous.”
The ladies on the program went on to blame climate change for hurricane Idalia, the Hawaiin wildfires, and hot temperatures in Phoenix this Summer. What they didn’t address is the fact that the Hawaiian fires were the result of malfunctioning power lines, hurricanes have shown no marked increase in the last couple of decades by the government’s own metrics, and it’s hot in the desert in Summertime.
It is far easier to blame your political opponents and stoke fear than to be honest. She continued: “There were fires in Greece, there were fires in Italy, Phoenix had 116-degree temperature, Palm Springs must have been over 100. They have to stop denying and stop with the fossil fuels and whatever else is causing this, I’m begging you, don’t vote for him.”
The fear-mongering from the left is more destructive to our country than climate change. Leftists like Joy Behar do not help when they spread false narratives and half-truths. Hopefully, enough people will see through this ruse and put President Trump back in 2024 so this nation can get back on the right track.
