WATCH: Tucker Carlson Unloads On Joy Reid’s Wild Inflation Claim

In an absolutely astounding segment back in 2022, when the Bidenflation issues were kicking off, MSNBC’s Joy Reid attempted to minimize the inflation issue by claiming that the only people who use the word “inflation” are journalists and economists, an astoundingly foolish tirade given the personal experiences many have had with rising prices.

And beyond being insulting to those suffering pain at the pump and ever-higher grocery store prices, Reid’s whole premise is ridiculous. The elites want us to vote out the elitist-picked Democrats? Dumb. Inflation is a word Americans never concerned themselves with before? Even dumber.

Well, back when he was on Fox News, Tucker decided to utterly eviscerate Reid’s inflation argument. Doing so, he introduced Reid’s argument by employing more evocative language, but he doesn’t misrepresent her at all. He said, “Here’s Joy Reid of MSNBC telling you that inflation is not real.”

Continuing, he said, “Now you may think you may imagine that you’re paying more for spaghetti and two by fours and heating oil. Oh, no, that’s just a figment of your imagination. In fact, it’s a diabolical psy-op engineered by the information warfare division of the Republican Party in Washington.”

Then Tucker dropped a hammer on her intellectually lightweight argument. He said, “Someday we’re going to be recurring segment called guess Joy reads IQ. That’ll be fun. What they’ve done since the Harvard lady. What they’ve done, is they’ve taught people the word inflation. There you have it, ladies and gentlemen, the Republican Party running around teaching people words, even three syllable words. In-fla-tion. Inflation, scary.”

Not yet done, Tucker ripped into how the elites view average Americans, particularly MAGA Republicans, saying, “Next, some of these MAGA people be reading and writing their own names on illegal documents and god knows what else, stop them before they bring literacy to the population. Before you know it, people will start to believe that crime is real and for the record is not.”

Reid’s friend, the aforementioned Tiffany Cross, did not have her contract renewed this past week. Fox reported that her “bad behavior” might have been the cause for it, despite whatever Reid has said about it. According to it, MSNBC decided to not review Cross’ contract and sever ties with her immediately, a decision that came after Cross worked there for two years.

According to the Fox News Channel report, MSNBC is internally saying that the move is simply a programming decision and the network cut her to fill her time slot with someone else, with her spot to be filled by rotating guest anchors in the process. But an anonymous source told Fox News that that was not the real issue. That source said that the real reason for Cross getting cut was “Repeated bad behavior on and off-air. Bad judgment.”

In any case, thank goodness for Tucker Carlson, who again focused some of his attention on Reid’s simply atrocious programming. Watch below as he eviscerates the overmatched MSNBC host and her inflation claim here:
