Lawlessness is rampant in many parts of Joe Bidens America. Open-air drug use, smash-and-grab theft, stores being sacked and looted, and multiple shootings nightly are commonplace in Chicago, New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and other heavily blue states and cities. In fact, it almost seems as though local District Attorneys go out of their way not to prosecute criminals.
Sowing the seeds of fear and discord is in the Democrat playbook, so it’s no surprise police are neutered and understaffed, and criminals are left to do as they please while law-abiding citizens are caught up in between.
The declining population of places like Los Angeles and San Francisco illustrates how fed up people are with the lack of support from their elected officials. People are fleeing major blue cities en masse to escape the crime and decay, often moving to red states like Texas and Florida.
Online and cyber crime is also exploding. As if the fear of home invasion or being mugged on the street wasn’t bad enough, now folks have to be extra careful scanning their debit cards and using the internet. Scams and criminals abound, and no one seems to be able to do anything about it.
The system is so broken in some places that even when there is an obvious crime being committed, police can or won’t do anything, and in some cases, innocent people are locked up while the perpetrators are let go, free to commit more crimes.
One homeowner in suburban Atlanta discovered for himself how much protection criminals are getting from local officials. Tim Arko pulled into his rental property in Decatur, Georgia, to check on it days after a tenant had moved out. What he found inside almost got him killed and ultimately got him arrested.
Arko told local news: “I didn’t walk in on a family eating dinner. I walked in on weapons, a prostitute, a bunch of dogs in the back, my fence broken down.”
Not only did Arko find vagrants on his property, one pulled a gun on him, causing him to jump the fence and run. He continued: “I just jumped the fence and ran. I didn’t know what else to do,”
Arko assumed a 911 call to local police would solve the squatter issue, especially since he had a gun pulled on him. However, after police arrived they took him into custody, much to his shock and bewilderment, as the squatters were allowed to remain. Arko explained: “They told the police that I was a home invader and that it was their home. And so I ended up being arrested and detained.”
Arko was released shortly thereafter, but six months passed with the squatters still living in the house. Not only that, but reportedly two people died in the home from drug overdoses, and the city has even fined Arko for code violations on a house the law isn’t allowing him to enter.
While the eviction notice has been signed, local authorities state they hope to execute the physical eviction sometime in September. Arko’s attorney said this: “No one likes, you know, being in the court system, but it becomes even worse when it seems broken down.”
The violated homeowner summed his feeling up: “I feel like it’s very heavily weighted towards these trespassers and criminals, not people that got duped.”
One would think a squatter problem would be easily solved. Provide proof of ownership, and if the squatters can’t provide proof they are legally allowed to be there, then they are removed. Sadly, in Joe Biden’s America, criminals are given a hall pass while hard-working Americans are getting detention. Will it change anytime soon? That’s anyone’s guess, especially if Biden gets another four years to destroy the country.
