World-famous rapper and actor Ice Cube is not afraid of the woke mob. In an appearance on Fox News show “Piers Morgan Uncensored,” Ice Cube blasted at the woke fad of cancel culture, comparing it to cancer metastasizing itself in American daily life.
Mr. Cube was very quick to diagnose the issue, which has caused so many of today’s celebrities to cower in fear of the liberal media. “People are very polarized in all kinds of ways,” he said. “People are afraid to speak out because of the cancel culture that we have today. So I just think people are afraid, and they’re running to their corners.”
Ice was also quick to agree with Piers Morgan, who compared the woke cancel culture to a cancer in the way that sweeps across the country and multiplies. Ice also noted that the cancellation is often not only a punishment to the person who is being attacked but a warning to any who dare to follow in their footsteps.
“It makes not only the person that’s getting canceled, they’re trying to shut them up,” he said, “but anybody’s watching nowadays shut up, because they say if it can happen to this guy, it can happen to me.” This point that Ice Cubs is making is clearly the case in the current drama surrounding Jason Aldean’s new hit song “Try That In A Small Town.”
In the song, Aldean is very openly admonishing the behavior that rioters took part in, desiccating many of America’s largest cities over the past five years. The left, however, has made an attempt to paint Aldean as a white supremacist who is calling for violence. Not only do they hope to make him apologize for his anti-rioting song, but they also hope to stop others from joining his staunchly anti-riot stance.
“So by smashing somebody who says something that you might not like and canceling them,” Ice Cube continued. “It actually reverberates throughout the whole community. And everybody now is watching what they say all the time.”
Ice Cube offered his remedy to cancel culture, saying that it all begins with fighting back in a healthy way. “Say what you want to say, and to hell with the consequences,” Ice Cube said. “You got to be willing to fight for your rights and fight for what you believe in. And if you’re a person who believes in freedom of speech, you have to fight and say what you feel and let the chips fall where they may and stand on that.”
There are countless examples of this idea being put into practice, and they have proven to be successful. The first and most obvious example is President Donald Trump, who refused to be taken down by the liberal media’s constant attacks against his character. Along with him, singers John Rich and Jason Aldean have made it clear that by never backing down, the woke-mob loses its only attack. Beyond the intimidation, there is no real tooth in their bite.
