Serena Williams is finally disappearing from tennis. That’s the good news. The bad news is that she sees her career “evolving,” which means she will force her idiot politics onto us from other platforms.
Perhaps in a most fitting way then, Williams announced her retirement claiming life is unfair, sounding like a child that didn’t get a second ice cream cone.
Apparently, unfair and oppressed means paying more for a single tennis outfit, worn for about two hours, than most people make in a year. Yahoo! News writes:
“For her first US Open 2022 look, Williams wore a custom black Nike set she designed herself. Inspired by dresses worn by figure skaters, it featured a gem-encrusted bodice with a starry detail evoking the night sky over Arthur Ashe Stadium stadium and a tulle skirt with six layers to symbolize her previous US Open wins.
Further accessorizing the look were NikeCourt Flare 2 sneakers accented by a diamond-encrusted swoosh and gold deubrés laces woven with 400 hand-set diamonds in collaboration with Serena Williams Jewelry.”
To top it off, she wore Swarovski crystals in her hair.
Leave it to millionaire activists to be utterly clueless about the real world. Serena Williams might be good at swinging a racket – a talent that has netted her tens of millions of dollars – but her ability to interpret complexities beyond the court matches that of a two–year-old child.
Williams has dragged us along the insufferable path of woke identity politics before. She has long complained about the obnoxiously false issue of gender pay inequality. Like Megan Rapino, Brittney Griner, and every other idiot female athlete that thinks men and women deserve the same pay, all we have to do is merge their leagues to find out they do not do the same thing. If you want to get paid like men, you need to play at the same level as men and bring in the same revenue as men. Why is this so hard to grasp?
She also started a venture capitalist firm that serves primarily black- and women-owned businesses. In theory, I support the free market; businesses should do whatever they want. However, the United States is not a free market economy; this kind of business works in only one direction. Heck, even the federal government has special loans for “oppressed” classes. A for-whites, by-whites male venture capitalist operation would be burned to the ground by BLM faster than they would loot a Foot Locker.
It should come as no surprise then that, in typical narcissistic leftist fashion, Williams announced her retirement from the sport that has blessed her with fame, fortune, celebrity status, and a life of luxury experienced by less than .00001% of the world’s population. So how does she celebrate and express her gratitude? By slamming God’s immaculate human design – and for good measure, the patriarchy.
In her own words, here is Williams complaining about a situation that is literally as old as humanity itself. It must be exhausting to preoccupy oneself by complaining about basic biology:
“Believe me, I never wanted to have to choose between tennis and a family. I don’t think it’s fair. If I were a guy, I wouldn’t be writing this because I’d be out there playing and winning while my wife was doing the physical labor of expanding our family.
Maybe I’d be more of a Tom Brady if I had that opportunity. Don’t get me wrong: I love being a woman, and I loved every second of being pregnant with Olympia. I was one of those annoying women who adored being pregnant and was working until the day I had to report to the hospital — although things got super complicated on the other side. And I almost did do the impossible: A lot of people don’t realize that I was two months pregnant when I won the Australian Open in 2017. But I’m turning 41 this month, and something’s got to give.”
A simple “thank you” would have sufficed.
