Another WNBA player is showing her true self in the wake of the Supreme Court’s landmark rulings last week. Surprisingly enough, former Russian jailbird Brittney Griner kept her name out of the controversy. Perhaps Brit saw enough of the inside of a Russian prison to have a renewed love for America. Either way, another player in the failing women’s league has managed to insert her Air Jordan squarely into her mouth on social media in response to the court’s rulings.
Last week, SCOTUS made several controversial but correct rulings. The court rejected the use of race in college admissions, otherwise known as “affirmative action,” and sided with graphic artist Lorie Smith in a Colorado case. Smith argued that her religious beliefs provided her the right not to design a website for a gay wedding. The court also struck down Joe Biden’s illegal and unconstitutional cancellation of student loan debt.
While the vast majority of Americans appear to agree with all three rulings, some leftists don’t and have taken to social media to criticize SCOTUS, make false claims, and rile up leftist voters with fear and rhetoric.
Hey Natasha, if this country was ‘trash’, why are so many people trying to come here for a better life? And, by the way, no one is keeping you here, so leave for your better place. And screw you, your privileged life, and your effing attitude. https://t.co/tVaexkpQ8b

Many on the left claim that the court rulings will enable higher-learning institutions to exclude minorities, particularly black people, from getting into college. Whoopi Goldberg of “The View” even went as far as to absurdly suggest that women would be excluded, despite the obvious statistic that women comprise the majority of graduate student admissions in America.
Since some in the sports world can’t simply play sports and leave their left-leaning political biases out of things, another WNBA player spouted off on social media. A player for the Washington Mystics named Natasha Cloud took to social media and, with one of the more poorly timed Tweets, considering the impending 4th of July holiday, proceeded to trash her home country, Brittney Griner style.
Cloud said this on Twitter: “Our country is trash in so many ways and instead of using our resources to make it better we continue to oppress Marginalized groups that we have targeted since the beginning of times.”
The casual observer can glean all they need to know about Cloud by the fact that she capitalized “marginalized” in her Tweet. Her agenda is clear. What isn’t clear is who exactly is being oppressed. Striking down affirmative action is simply to acknowledge something we all should be clear on; black people can succeed without the help of their white saviors on the left.
Many states, including California, struck down affirmative action years ago. Whether she is ignorant of this fact or just uninformed, Cloud is certainly divorcing herself from reality either way. Also, considering the Universities in question, UNC and Harvard, were disproportionately rejecting Asian students, Cloud’s argument for discrimination against “marginalized” groups once again falls flat.
Cloud continued her uninformed rant on Instagram, saying: “Keep on moving backwards….” and she finished her assault by claiming America is a “f—— joke” based on the Supreme Court’s ruling on 303 Creative LLC v. Elenis.
If a conservative sports figure in any league, even one as unknown and obscure as Cloud, had spouted such divisive nonsense, there would certainly be calls for the player to be fined, cut, or suspended. In fact, the Toronto Blue Jays did just that when they cut pitcher Anthony Bass over his unwillingness to engage in forced celebration for the Jays’ Pride night.
Yet here we are with another WNBA player trashing the country that puts food on her table and grossly overpays her to play in a league no one cares about. A Russian prison course corrected Brittney Griner, and while I wouldn’t wish that on anyone else, perhaps Cloud can have an awakening and realize it’s the best time in human history to be black, gay, or any of the rest of the letters. Happy 4th of July!
