During a very eventful rally in Pickens. South Carolina, former President Donald Trump made a number of vows and claims. He pledged he would take the gloves off and appoint a special prosecutor to investigate Biden, argued that it is time Americans stand up and reclaim their freedom from the Swamp, and he said that something is wrong with Biden, as shown by Biden’s repeated gaffes. Also, Lindsey Graham got booed mercilessly from the crowd. He also vowed to reverse Biden’s economic “betrayals” of America.
Speaking on that, former President Trump said that he would, if elected in 2024, get rid of Biden’s “tax hikes” and replace them with his tax cuts, vowing to extend the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. Speaking on that, he said, “We will replace Biden’s tax hikes with the beautiful Trump tax cuts. You know, we have to extend the tax that’s biggest tax cuts in history.”
Continuing, Trump then played to the crowd and vowed to strike back against the regulations Biden has put into effect that, Trump alleged, are harming workers in South Carolina. At the same time, Trump called out Bidenflation and vowed to stop it. In his words: “I will cancel every Biden regulation that’s harming South Carolina workers and there are many and they’re coming into being every single day, we will stop Biden’s inflation nightmare.”
Moving back to the country generally rather than just South Carolina, Trump then vowed that he’d start reversing those globalist policies the Biden Administration has effected that he characterized as harming Americans. He said, “And I will reverse every one of Biden’s globalist economic portrayals. And once again, we will put America first and we’ll put it first like never before.”
Getting into the details of what policy he wants to start with, Trump vowed to enact the “Trump Reciprocal Trade Act,” which he said would hit countries that place a tariff on US goods with an “exact same tariff,” forcing those countries to either pay higher importation costs or cut their tariffs on US goods.
Speaking on that and fleshing out the details a bit, Trump said, “To protect South Carolina Workers and manufacturers, I will pass the Trump Reciprocal Trade Act, which I have one vote right here already. And he said to me, ‘Gee, that sounds good.’ You mean one for one, but we had some senators that I don’t think either they had a deal made, or they didn’t understand it, but it’s an incredible thing. As an example of India, China or another country, hits us with a 100% or 200% tariff, any tariff at all. We will hit them with the exact same tariff.”

As you can see in the video, the crowd loved Trump’s idea of reciprocal tariffs. However, during a recent talk in California, Ron DeSantis came out against the tariffs on China that Trump fought so hard for in his first term, describing them as ineffective, an attendee of the DeSantis event in California claimed.
