A Fox News Channel producer who Tucker Carlson characterized as being one of the best in the business in a recent video, Alex McCaskill, was recently fired by the network for a chyron he wrote that harshly criticized President Joe Biden. The chyron at issue read, “Wannabe dictator speaks at the White House after having his political rival arrested.”
McCaskill announced his termination in a post on Instagram, saying, “Today was my last day at Fox. It’s been a wild 10 years and it was the best place I’ve ever worked because of the great people I met. But the time has come. I asked them to let me go, and they finally did. To all my friends there: I will miss you forever.”
Tucker commented on McCaskill’s firing in a recent video. Referring to the “wannabe dictator” chyron, Tucker said, “Those words were up for less than 30 seconds, but the effect was immediate. Inside Fox, the women who run the network panicked.” And so, because they didn’t want to criticize Slow Joe too harshly, McCaskill was out “less than 24 hours” after the incident.
Continuing, he said that the producer who resigned less than 24 hours after the chyron was put up “was considered one of the most capable people in the building,” but was then sacrificed on the altar of not being too mean to Democrats.
McCaskill isn’t the only former Fox employee that worked with Tucker to leave recently. Thomas Fox is reportedly out as well.
Tucker, in his video about the women that run Fox panicking, also defended McCaskill’s claim that Biden is a wannabe dictator, saying, “Of course, Joe Biden is not a wannabe dictator. Just because he’s trying to put the other candidate in prison for the rest of his life for a crime he himself committed, doesn’t mean he has a totalitarian impulse. Come on. That’s absurd. It takes a lot more than jailing your political rivals to earn the title ‘wannabe dictator.’”
Tucker then ended his video by throwing one more jab Fox News’ way, saying, “Just don’t call it a dictatorship, or we’ll have to issue a statement disavowing you.”

And the women that run Fox dislike Tucker and McCaskill dislike them as much as Tucker seems to dislike them. McCaskill was named, alongside Tucker, in a lawsuit filed this spring by a former Fox producer, Abby Grossberg. She claims in the lawsuit that McCaskill “habitually belittled female employees.” She also claims he argued a room at Fox for female employees to pump breast milk was a “waste of space” and should be replaced with a room for men to tan their testicles, which was likely a joke related to Tucker’s “End of Man” documentary.
