Well that didn’t take long. In one of the first tweets from the official POTUS account, Joe Biden already got fact-checked by Elon’s new and improved Twitter. No wonder leftists were melting down; for years, they controlled the media narratives. Now, suddenly, an entity outside of their control manages its own levers and it’s going to be calling out leftist propaganda with ease.
The tweet in question was from October 28th, in which Biden’s account emphjaticially declared it had all the facts. You know, just like it had all the facts when it came to stopping transmission. Here’s Biden’s claims on tackling both Big Business and inflation at the same time:
Let me give you the facts.
In 2020, 55 corporations made $40 billion. And they paid zero in federal taxes.
My Inflation Reduction Act puts an end to this.

A basic rule of thumb is that if Joe Biden says “let me give you the facts”then you can buckle up for some pretty heavy lying and gaslighting. The same goes with his classic “look” or “come on.” It is to Delaware’s everlasting discredit they kept voting for him for half a century.
As Fox News reported, the tweet was almost instantly fact-checked by readers of the tweet, a new feature under Elon Musk. Previously, the overlords at Twitter – in many cases just a single partisan engineer – would arbitrarily decide what was true or false and subsequently flag content. At least with Musk, readers add context to the conversation:
In a tweet, purporting to give his followers “the facts,” the president asserted that 55 corporations made $40 billion in 2020 and “paid zero in federal taxes.”
The tweet included context added by readers, noting that Biden’s Inflation Reduction Act imposed a minimum tax on corporations with average pre-tax earnings greater than $1 billion.
It noted that of the 55 corporations mentioned by President Biden, only 14 had earnings greater than $1 billion and would be eligible under Biden’s tax law.
President Biden signed the Inflation Reduction Act into law in August 2022. The law, a trimmed-down version of the president’s $1.75 trillion Build Back Better plan, was signed amid historically high levels of inflation.
Among its many provisions was incorporating a 15% minimum corporate tax for companies earning more than $1 billion per year.
It’s not an exaggeration to say Twitter will run out of flags if it starts dinging Democrats. These people lie, as Dennis Prager often quips, with the “ease with which you breathe.” Leftism doesn’t thrive in an open debate; this should definitely get interesting.
Lies aside, one user on Twitter correctly pointed out the misguided concern over billions of missing dollars. Just take a look below:
Let me give you the facts.
$80+ billion has been sent to just Ukraine, and just this year so far.
You say 55 corporations that made $40 billion is your main worry?
I think it's the midterms that worry you. pic.twitter.com/fDEpM2GDv1

Yet another pointed out that 50 major corporations likely employ millions of Americans. Moreover, those entities will never – never – pay the tax designed by the government. Instead, they will simply pass costs along to consumers. Considering the elites hate an independent middle class, that might be the plan anyways. Get consumers to pay more and reduce their disposal income.
