Alex Stein is a comedian, a YouTube personality, and the host of his own show on Blaze TV, Prime Time with Alex Stein. He is a very funny guy. He is also well known for confronting politicians, making appearances at events like school board and city council meetings, and hilariously documented trying on Target’s “tuck friendly” pride swimsuit. However, to the WNBA, he is a ‘provocateur.” He has probably been called worse.
Saturday morning at the Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport, Brittney Griner and the Phoenix Mercury were waiting to board their flight to Indiana. Stein, who was already at the airport for a flight, got tipped off that the team and former Russian jailbird were there, so he decided to ask a couple of polite questions. It didn’t go well.
As the team was walking towards the flight, Stein approached and had some interesting questions comments for Griner. In a subsequent interview, Stein said: “I asked her, was it a fair trade, I wasn’t really like even trying to like be aggressive or anything. The WNBA issued a statement before the video even came out. I literally had a tie on, I wasn’t dressed like some scrub, I was just trying to ask a simple question to get her response and her security freaked out.”
Security proceeded to push Stein and tussle with him as they pushed him into a wall. While the entire event is being framed as some sort of harassment by a “provocateur,” it is no different from an outlet like TMZ asking athletes and celebrities questions. So, why does Brittney Griner, someone who has openly declared her disdain for America, get different treatment?
Stein, being a comedian, couldn’t resist the urge to throw a one-liner in when he said: “You kill it on the court. But he kills it in real life,”
While being facetious, it is a fair assessment by Stein. Joe Biden chose Brittney Griner over Paul Whelan, a Marine, in the exchange with “Merchant of Death” Viktor Bout. Whether it was a fair deal has been in question since it took place.
While the media has portrayed Stein as some kind of lunatic that fled the scene, he simply left after the incident and caught his own flight. He didn’t break the law, he didn’t physically assault anyone either, yet the whole event is being framed by the leftist media as “dangerous” and “violent.”
One reporter from the formerly respected USA Today called Griner an “American hero and patriot.” Is the bar so low in 2023 that being a convicted criminal that spent a year in a Russian prison for hash oil what qualifies as an American hero?
Stein, who regularly faces danger and threats during his bits, is being cast as some sort of right-wing lunatic for asking questions. It should be recalled that Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez threatened to punch Stein on the Capitol steps when he admitted to her, he has a crush, and she is his favorite “big booty Latina.”
Now the WNBA and liberal sports media are calling for chartered flights for a league that already has to pay its bills courtesy of the NBA.
What’s next for Alex Stein? Hopefully the attention will help propel him further and bring a larger audience to his show. We need Alex Stein showing up and asking questions, and shining a humorous light on the nonsense going on all around us.
