The rap song “Boycott Target,” created by pro-Trump rapper Forgiato Blow and a number of other non-woke rappers, first raised eyebrows when it topped Apple’s iTunes charts. Now it’s become an even bigger pop culture sensation as the boycott remains in force and the ire against Target and other companies selling “Pride” merchandise to kids grows in intensity.
In fact, “Boycott Target” now occupies Billboard’s number 4 spot for overall sales of top-selling songs and took the number 1 spot on Billboard for digital sales of rap songs. Blow called attention to that success on Twitter:

In addition to selling the song, Blow posted the music video version on Twitter, encouraging people to boycott Target and punish Target for what he claimed was the company’s attempts to start “Targeting Our Kids.”
That video has, as of the time this article was written, gotten over 4.5 million views. Numerous conservative personalities drew attention to it on Twitter, such as Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, who said, “American Conservatives are once again showing who has the real buying power. It’s not the woke mob, they only bully and riot.”

Forgiato Blow isn’t the only one who is concerned with Target’s apparent targeting of children. Senator Marco Rubio ripped into the retailer for doing so in a recent statement, saying that it’s creepy for anyone to focus on sexuality and children and so a “Pride” veneer doesn’t make that any less creepy. In his words: “I don’t understand this obsession with focusing on children, marketing products to children, entertainment to children, messaging to children. Using schools to target children. I think that’s where parents are drawing the line. And by the way, if they were having heterosexual Pride month, where they were advocating sexualizing children from a heterosexual standpoint, I’d be equally offended at that notion. I think kids need to be left alone and allowed to be kids and grow up healthy and determine their own course in life. To use corporate power in marketing to target children, you’re going to get a very visceral reaction the way schools have.”
Similarly, Sen. Rand Paul echoed a similar concern in his statement on the subject, saying that companies such as Target should not be sexualizing children. In his words: “I think corporations should stay out of trying to sexualize our youth with all kinds of bizarre notions. I’m not a big fan of what Target’s doing, and you won’t see me in Target anytime soon.”
The boycott of Target, championed by politicians and public figures alike and carried out by innumerable concerned parents across the country upset with how Target was seemingly sexualizing kids, has led to serious stock market pain for the company. It has lost billions of dollars in market cap and had its stock downgraded as consumers switch to other companies in an attempt to make Target feel financial pain.
