Children’s author Kirk Cameron, author of “As you Grow,” a faith-based book for young kids, appeared on “The Evening Edit,” a show on Fox Business. During his interview on that program, he told host Elizabeth MacDonald that his books and book tour are helping Christian parents from the woke state of things and realize what surrounds them.
Making that point, Cameron accused the woke propaganda complex of stealing and poisoning the minds of young kids, saying, “They’re waking up from the woke matrix, and they’re realizing that they need to deactivate this progressive machine that is stealing the hearts and minds of their children. It’s very encouraging, and I’m just getting started.”
Continuing, he used the incident at the Seattle Public Library, where a large mob protested his reading a Christian book to young kids about the sin of Pride, to show just how crazy things have gotten in America and to take on the “Pride” movement. “We went to the Seattle Public Library and we were welcomed there as I was reading this book called ‘Pride Comes Before the Fall,’ which teaches kids the dangers of pride and the value of humility,” he began.
Continuing, Cameron said that the attempts to redefine gender as being the height of pride, while also reminding all those listening that pride is one of the seven deadly sins, describing it as the worst of them. Speaking on that, he said, “Of the seven deadly sins, this is the deadliest one, and ultimately what that is, is saying, ‘I’m God and I can determine morality, I can determine gender, I can redefine things according to my own image,’ and I applaud those who are wanting to bring us back to the values that made us the freest, strongest, most blessed nation in the world — and that’s the Judeo-Christian moral standard and ethic.”
He then called on parents and grandparents to save their kids and grandkids by going on the offensive against woke attempts to reorganize society in God’s image. He then said that to do so they need to return to the forefront of their kids’ education, teaching them what God says is right rather than what a sinful society says is right.
Cameron then added that the current situation is confusing to kids and might be making the problem worse, particularly considering that interested parties are the one s reaping large rewards of claiming to know what is right and wrong. “What doesn’t help is when you have people who stand to make huge financial profit off of medical procedures that actually make the problem worse, in my opinion, and don’t bring clarity, but increase confusion,” Cameron said.
Returning to his point about the importance of teaching kids what is right and good and true from a Biblical perspective, Cameron said that such answers aren’t found in the typical places young Americans turn to, such as TikTok, but rather in Christian books like his. “What we need to do is get back to the truth and speak it to them in love, even if it’s not popular or what they’re seeing on TikTok, and that’s what I’m trying to do by reading my books,” he said.
