Greg Gutfeld came out swinging against Media Matters and its attempts to embarrass and cancel former Fox News Channel host Tucker Carlson, ripping into the “hall monitors” that were leaking videos of him saying somewhat non-politically correct things.
That hall monitors comment came in response to a tweet from Media Matters’ Matthew Gertz in which Gertz said, “NEW FOXLEAKS: Media Matters obtained three more behind-the-scenes videos featuring former Fox host Tucker Carlson’s creepy on-set comments.”
Gutfeld, responding, said, “apparently everyone understands nonsense banter between segments except for hall monitor failures bitterly chronicling the lives of the far more successful.”
In another clip that Gertz tweeted and drew a response from Getfeld by doing so, Tucker was talking to a makeup artist on set and, jokingly, asked if there were pillow fights in the women’s restroom. Gertz tweeted that video out with the caption, “FOXLEAKS: Tucker Carlson asks makeup artist if “pillow fights ever break out” in the women’s bathroom in new behind-the-scenes video“.
Gutfeld, in a quote tweet of Gertz’s post, said, “imagine having to tell your parents that your job is narcing on the casual comments of other people while they, happily unaware, make a living. Your parents would be so embarrassed and ashamed they’d rather tell their friends you died in a fire.”

Megyn Kelly recently claimed that a certain Fox News executive is behind the leaked clips and attacks on Tucker, as we reported in a recent article on The American Tribune, writing:
Megyn Kelly, host of Sirius XM’s “The Megyn Kelly Show,” leveled serious accusations at a senior executive at Fox News on Monday, saying that that executive was the one who was behind the recent leaks of out-of-context, slanderous background information about Tucker Carlson.
Specifically, Kelly accused Irena Briganti, the senior executive vice president of corporate communications at Fox News, of targeting Tucker Carlson by leaking previously unseen footage and private text messages to Media Matters and The New York Times. Briganti has denied those accusations, saying that Kelly’s accusation is “completely false and an outright lie.”
In any case, Kelly, accusing Briganti, said, “Two videos were released, oh, by whomever could it be — Irena — to The New York Times saying, in one, he called a woman ‘yummy,’ we have zero idea the context. Could’ve been his wife for all I know. Zero idea. And one, he said something like, ‘Will my post-menopausal audience still find me attractive in this outfit.‘”
“Nice try, Fox. But, you tried and failed. So they first leaked to The New York Times, this is my supposition for the record because it hasn’t been yet been confirmed, but I know it’s them. And I know it’s Irena Briganti who runs comms and fucking hates Tucker. Sorry, she hates his guts. And it’s mutual, he doesn’t like her either. None of us do. Nobody likes Irena.”
