A hilarious new video is going viral on social media, where not a single person is in line at a Bud Light stand during a Boston Red Sox game in Fenway Park. This is the latest of many videos and anecdotal stories piling up across social media, showing the true extent of the Bud Light boycott.
The video was taken by a fan who got up to get some refreshments during a Red Sox game. He says, “Guys this is so funny and bizarre. Look at that, that is every single Bud Light stand here at Fenway Park in Boston.” He pans the camera over to show that literally no one is in line to get a Bud Light. On top of that, the refrigerators stocked with Bud Light appear to have not been touched the entire evening, while people are seen waiting in long lines at other stands to get refreshments. Clown World tweeted the video with the caption, “Bud Light is finished.” Watch it below.

The sales figures have come in for April, confirming that the boycott has significantly impacted Bud Light sales. According to recent reports from the beer industry, Bud Light sales have dropped by 17 percent, and sales volume has fallen 21 percent. According to the New York Post:
The latest sales data from NielsenIQ and Bump Williams Consulting shows that Bud Light sales fell 17% in dollars, while volume dropped a whopping 21% in the week ended April 15.
That’s sharply ahead of the 6% drop in sales dollars and 11% drop in volume that Bud Light had suffered during the week ended April 8 — the seven days that immediately followed the April 1 launch of the controversial Mulvaney campaign on social media.
Overall, Bud Light’s volume declined by 34.7% at bars, restaurants and other venues between April 2 and April 15, according to BeerBoard. Bud Light dropped to the No. 4 draft beer from No. 3 during the second week of the controversy, switching places with Coors Light, Brewbound reported on Monday.
Moreover, Bud Light is reportedly sending free cases of beer to its distributors in an act of desperation to salvage relationships with its distributors who bear the financial consequences of the boycott. The Wall Street Journal shared a recent story on its Twitter profile with the caption, “The maker of Bud Light is working to make amends with its distributors, who say they have taken the brunt of the backlash to a company promotion with Dylan Mulvaney, a transgender social-media star.”

According to the Wall Street Journal, “Anheuser-Busch InBev the country’s largest brewer, has pledged to boost its marketing spending on Bud Light, accelerate production of a new slate of ads, and give a case of Bud Light to every employee of an Anheuser-Busch wholesaler, distributors said.”
Industry experts have also warned that Bud Light could lose its status as the best-selling beer on the market if it can’t get a grip on the recent sales decline. Bump Williams, CEO of Bump Williams Consulting, stated that Bud Light is still the top-selling beer in the country, but it could lose its status this year from the boycott. Williams said, “Bud Light is in serious trouble this year. I think it runs the risk of losing that No. 1 position at the end of calendar year 2023 to Modelo Especial,”
