Tucker Carlson is reportedly stuck in his Fox News contract, meaning he would not be able to produce content on his own – or with other outlets like Newsmax or Valuetainment – for the foreseeable future, but that has not stopped him from getting his face and important voice into the public sphere.
Carlson most recently dropped an epic video last week, his first since the news had broken of his benching from Fox, which immediately went viral
“Good evening. It’s Tucker Carlson, one of the first things you realize when you step outside the noise for a few days is how many genuinely nice people there are in this country, kind of decent people, people who really care about what’s true and a bunch of hilarious people. Also, a lot of those, it’s got to be the majority of population even now. So that’s heartening,” he began in the wildly popular post.
“The other thing you notice when you take a little time off is how unbelievably stupid most of the debates you see on television are, they’re completely irrelevant. They mean nothing. In five years, we won’t even remember that we had them, trust me as someone who’s participated, and yet the same time,” he continued.
In all, in the first hour of release he had more viewers than his old Fox broadcast had ever achieved, and in all, it’s since amassed more than 100 million views. Here was that video if you haven’t seen it:

With that initial exposure out of the way, Carlson continues to get out there and make public appearances. Tim Hodge, director of Rainbow Omega, said that Carlson will now be a featured speaker at the organization’s annual fundraiser at the Oxford Performing Arts Center. AL.com added that Hodge made sure to note that the timing of this appearance was already established prior to the shocking news Fox was splitting up with him, writing:
“The timing for last week’s announcement was unexpected by anybody,” Hodge continued. “Anytime you have a featured speaker from the world of politics, with our country’s political divide, you can bet there’s a lot of interest. It was kind of an unusual situation. There has been renewed interest.”
“We’re looking forward to him being here and being part of our fundraiser,” Hodge added after mentioning Carlson’s firing, AL.com noted further.
“Hodge added that more than 500 tickets had been purchased since the announcement by Fox that the network was letting go its lead anchor, who drew a nightly audience of three million viewers. Where Carlson lands next is the subject of much speculation, with one news outlet offering the mega-star $100 million over five years to join its team,” Trending Politics added.
Whatever the case, we’re just glad to see Tucker out in the public eye and getting more and more popular by the day.
His Twitter video continued, saying:
“And this is the amazing thing, the undeniably big topics, the ones that will define our future, get virtually no discussion at all war, civil liberties, emerging science, demographic change, corporate power, natural resources. When was the last time you heard a legitimate debate about any of those issues? It’s been a long time. Debates like that are not permitted in American media. Both political parties and their donors have reached consensus on what benefits them, and they actively collude to shut down any conversation about it. Suddenly, the United States looks very much like a one-party state.”
“That’s a depressing realization. But it’s not permanent. Our current orthodoxies won’t last. They’re brain dead, nobody actually believes them. Hardly anyone’s life is improved by them. This moment is to inherently ridiculous to continue. And so it won’t. The people in charge know this. That’s why they’re hysterical and aggressive. They’re afraid. They’ve given up persuasion, they’re resorting to force, but it won’t work. When honest people say what’s true calmly and without embarrassment, they become powerful.
“At the same time, the liars who’ve been trying to silence them shrink and they become weaker. That’s the iron law of the universe. True things prevail. Where can you still find American saying true things? There are many places left but there are some and that’s enough. As long as you can hear the words there is hope. See you soon.”
