The wokies that have destroyed American entertainment suffered another blow recently, this time with TBS having to cut Samantha Bee’s unwatched show “Full Frontal” because…well, who wants to watch “Full Frontal” and hear a leftist rant about the “current thing” and show her disdain for the average American?
No one does, obviously. And so “Full Frontal” has been cut from the TBS lineup for “business-related” reasons, as TBS announced in a statement, saying:
“As we continue to shape our new programming strategy, we’ve made some difficult, business-based decisions. We are proud to have been the home to ‘Full Frontal With Samantha Bee’ and thank Sam, and the rest of the Emmy-nominated team for their groundbreaking work. We celebrate this extraordinarily talented cast and crew and look forward to exploring new opportunities to work with them in the future.”
Those “opportunities” don’t include “Full Frontal”, which was cut.
Bee, for her part, was surprisingly not horrible when commenting on the cut on social media, saying:
“We’re so thankful for our loyal audience, our amazing team, and that we got to annoy the right people every week — that there wasn’t wrestling or baseball or a very special episode of Big Bang.
“To our loyal fans — we love you, you’re very special. Go home, and go home in peace.”
That comes as a surprise because Bee is mostly known for her outrageous, vulgarity-filled attacks on Trump and the Trump family.
The langauge she directed the way of Ivanka Trump, for example, was so vile that the Trump White House put out a statement condemning Bee and her enablers, saying:
“The language used by Samantha Bee last night is vile and vicious. The collective silence by the left and its media allies is appalling. Her disgusting comments and show are not fit for broadcast, and executives at Time Warner and TBS must demonstrate that such explicit profanity about female members of this administration will not be condoned on its network.”
Her show is also known for being more of a harangue and leftist diatribe than comedy program, something that even Variety was willing to note in its article on the subject, saying:
“We do a show to please ourselves,” Bee told Variety during an interview in 2016. “This gives us an opportunity to say the things we want in the exact way we want to say them.” In the process, her viewers get a few laughs, but also can exorcise their frustrations with modern politics and culture. When Bee watches TV, she says, “I like a firm hand to take me somewhere. I think that’s what we do with the show — provide a firm hand. You might not like where it takes you, and that’s OK, too.” She hopes viewers “walk away with comedy first, and then the catharsis after.”
So, facing declining business prospects as viewers don’t watch Bee’s admittedly unfunny “comedy” program, TBS cut it, and “go woke, go broke” holds true once again. Sounds about right.
