No doubt, MSNBC’s latest long-form, sit-down interview format was designed to make rural Trump supporters in the crucial state of Pennsylvania, where Dr. Oz is for the first time polling ahead of John Fetterman, look bad. They would just send in some minor league gal, have her ask a few questions, and then let the group of Trumpers expose themselves as clueless idiots.
Except, that’s not what happened at all.
Instead, MSNBC got more than it bargained for and gave voice to millions of people who saw themselves in the ten courageous citizens wading through corporate media narratives and fighting mainstream lies.
I mean, they got told a cop died on January 6th – who still thinks that? As many comments on social media pointed out, as soon as Ms. Fancy Coastal Elitist stepped out of her D.C. leftist echo chamber, she found out some hard truths really fast.
It’s amazing MSNBC aired this, let alone allow its survival on the internet. But here it is, all three minutes of glorious narrative smashing from some salt-of-the-earth truth tellers:

In the clip, the first question asked is about gubernatorial candidate Doug Mastriano.
He was at the insurrection and photographed breaching one of the restricted areas. Is that ok?
Immediately, there is push back. Officers took away barriers, one person said. Others were unlocking doors or opening gates, others suggested. The concept of a restricted area got super gray and blurry in short order. As the younger man asked, what area?
It shouldn’t be disqualifying for an elected official if they participated in January 6th?
One man chimes in that he didn’t strike anybody and didn’t hit anybody. In other words, the idea the Mastriano should be disqualified from office for just being at the Capitol is laughable. What’s his offense? Then the panel made sure to remind the moderator that no one died that day except an unarmed woman, and that led to the journo saying:
A police officer did die…
No. That was a stroke. That’s not on site. Again, if you’re stuck in your media bubble, you probably believe that Officer Brian Sicknick was killed that day. After all, the New York Times and other outlets reported he had been bludgeoned to death by a fire extinguisher. He even got to lay in the Capitol Rotunda and was visited by Joe Biden et al before being cremated without a further investigation.
Of course, the Times quietly retracted the claim and ran a follow-up noting no evidence of foul play existed and that he’d died of a stroke unrelated to the events of January 6th.
From there, the entire video claws away at the media’s efforts to lie and gaslight. The host continues delving into ideas such as Trump’s role, the legitimacy of the protest, and other topics covered ad nauseum by corporate media.
I tip my cap to the folks speaking up. They did so eloquently, articulately, honestly, and calmly. If MSNBC wanted to portray the rural Trump vote as uniformed, this video has the opposite effect. Social media reached the same conclusions as me, as evidenced by some of the top comments on Twitter under the video:
The biggest takeaway for me from that video, is that despite EVERY effort to make sure nobody was able to recognize all the things these folks seemed to have been able to… they were able to. I’m genuinely shocked to be honest.
I live here. I’m like a walking billboard with political shirts every time I leave the house and people always want to stop and talk. The Democrats have no idea how outnumbered they are.
When he mentioned the reichstag fire the host looked lost.
This is what the truth sounds like. It resonates within us. It makes sense. It is what we all witnessed, know and understand. The truth destroys the lies, the narrative every time.
