A young boy in the city of Merced, California, passed away after sustaining injuries during a fight on a trampoline with another child.
Apparently, the 10-year-old victim, Anthony Duran, got into a “brief physical altercation” at Rockin’ Jump trampoline park in the basketball area on April 13th. Following the fight, witnessed told the police, Duran collapsed and was taken to the local hospital. Tragically, however, he passed away on Monday as a result of those injuries.
The other young boy involved, witnesses said, fled the scene after the incident. He was, however, caught on the area’s security camera, so police were able to identify him. Police are now reviewing the violent incident with the local District Attorney to determine if charges will be filed against the other youth involved.
The Merced Police Department, posting about the incident on Facebook, said:
